And speaking of adventures, darling, today we’re travelling to the absolutely lovely town of Watford! You’ll find it in lovely Hertfordshire, right on the outskirts of London, which is where my big adventure starts this week! London baby, I’m coming for ya! 🚄💖
How do I get there? Well, this queen is a bit of a travel snob. 🚗 Forget the traffic jams and the stress, Darling! It’s a beautiful sunny morning and the only place for me is in a vintage carriage. And don’t worry my darlings, my beautiful horse won’t be put out to graze all day. He’s enjoying the best box at the stables, all prepped for our return journey! 🐴✨ That's my travel tip, darling! A bit old-fashioned? Perhaps, but that's what makes it so much fun! 😉 You gotta embrace a little old school magic!
You know, the other day someone asked me: “What makes you get up and be a drag queen every day? How do you do it?”. Well darling, you have to believe in the power of dreams, in the beauty of your own vision, the magic of a tutu, and most importantly… you gotta know that you can rock any day! 😉 Even when I’m up early, running some tests on that sparkly new pink fabric I found for a brand new tutu - it’s that same belief that lets me face the day, no matter how challenging it might be! There’s an energy in that, my darlings. An energy that lets you chase those big dreams. It’s the secret to my life in Pink Tutu! 💖 ✨
Now back to Watford! I absolutely LOVE visiting Watford! It's such a great place for performing, with a fab community, a brilliant arts scene and lovely, friendly people! I have the most amazing performance coming up at the Theatre Royal Watford, and the whole day has such a lovely feel to it! I always like to see if there's a show at the Watford Colosseum, or the Palace Theatre. Such fantastic historic theatres, right? A trip to a ballet show is the perfect way to get some inspiration and motivate me before the show! What better place to be inspired by the graceful ballerinas in their tutus?! It just gets me all energized! And then, darling, it’s off to ballet class at The Harlequin! My favourite place to move my body in all my glory! Sometimes you need to really shake those tutu skills loose, darling! It keeps the confidence up, and keeps the excitement about the show burning! It’s truly a way of life for me, this dedication to my art. 🩰💖
Before we move on, my loves, I gotta get the gossip, and spill all the secrets about my latest vintage shopping haul. Did I tell you all about that beautiful blush-pink Victorian velvet bolero I found? It's a real statement piece, a genuine vintage treasure - you could feel the energy from its past! Oh and that sequined headband from a vintage shop, complete with faux pearls… absolutely divine! But if you're feeling less traditional darling, you can always get a few sparkles from Etsy, they have everything for the vintage lover. You’ve got to look for that unique look that just shines from within, don't you think?!
Talking about sparkle... guess what, darling? I met the sweetest, most sparkly people at the Watford town fair today! And guess what I did for the cutest, tiny little toddler with his mom? Why, I got him his first pink tutu, of course! It was a little glittery tulle tutu with a big pink bow. And let me tell you darling, that look on the little darling's face when his mom put that tutu on him! Well, the excitement was worth more than all the glitter in the universe. Oh my! Just that little look from him makes everything worth it! Maybe one day, we’ll even have little Pink Tutu Sparkles strutting their stuff in Watford? My mission: to spread pink tutu joy all over the globe! 🌎 One sparkle at a time, my darlings.
