This past week has been a whirl of pink tulle and twinkling sequins! I began my Fleet adventure with a trip to the magnificent Fleet Pond, a haven for wildlife and nature lovers. The aromas that filled the air, and the warm, inviting atmosphere, truly set the mood. Of course, Pink Tutu Sparkles is not shy about creating her own mood. A few strategically placed rhinestones on my cocktail glass added a touch of… drama… shall we say?
My evening performance at The Fleet Hall was pure enchantment! The local community gathered to see me shimmy and twirl my way into their hearts. We embraced all things pink, glittery, and fabulous. Now, some people might think that staying at a country pub isn't very… glamorous. But let me tell you, darlings! My room was absolutely delightful - all beamed ceilings, floral wallpaper, and charming, rustic furniture!

By day, I'm a scientist! My job is all about fabrics - analyzing their properties and experimenting with their potential. It might not be as sparkly as my drag act, but it is deeply fascinating! There's something so captivating about delving into the world of textures, weaves, and threads. And don't be fooled, there's science behind the art of the tutu too! Just ask my fellow drag sisters.
How did I end up as Pink Tutu Sparkles, you ask? It all started when I was studying for my degree in Science in Derbyshire. I stumbled across the university's ballet club and, feeling particularly brave, decided to try on a tutu for a charity event. The minute I slipped into that tulle cloud of pink, something magical happened! It was like I was wearing a potion of confidence! The next thing I knew, I was twirling on stage, the embodiment of a vision in pink. From that moment onwards, Pink Tutu Sparkles was born. And she's been inspiring and empowering everyone she meets ever since.
And what does Pink Tutu Sparkles love most in life? Why, travel of course! It's a wonderful way to discover the beauty of the world and meet all kinds of people. Whether I’m travelling on the glorious steam engine train - surrounded by plush velvet seats, polished brass, and steamy whiffs of history - or riding on horseback through sprawling landscapes - the thrill of adventure fuels my passion for performance!
