Darling, are you ready to ditch those boring beige sweaters and embrace the sheer, pink, frilly, FUN of the Tutu Life? Because I'm headed to Trowbridge for a fabulous Christmas treat, and I'm inviting you all to come along for the ride!
This is post number 725 for you lovely lot - thank you so much for all your support and kindness - and you know what? This pink tutu loving diva wouldn't be on this exciting journey without you! So get yourselves comfy, grab a cuppa and some cake (pink cake, obvs) and let me tell you all about my most recent adventureā¦
Right, back to the matter in hand! Now, Trowbridge, you say? You're probably thinking āBut Alex, Trowbridge?! Isn't it, you knowā¦ not quite The West End?ā Darling, you'd be surprised! This charming little town is a hidden gem waiting to be discovered, and it's a place where pink tutus definitely can sparkle, trust me! I mean, who doesn't love a good country jaunt, eh? Especially when you can combine it with spreading the joy of tutus!
My journey began in the usual way - on a packed train, the carriage vibrating with a delicious hum of Christmas cheer and anticipation. (There's nothing quite like a train ride, darling, with the world whizzing past your window.) It was so good I couldnāt resist posting a quick selfie, obviously, #pinktututrainsofcourse, in my newest number, a pale pink feather boa trimmed tulle confection (it had little sparkle butterflies, darling!) You guys were all raving about it, and honestly, it felt like all the lovely people I met at the train station were radiating the same Pink Tutu Joy.
The Magic of a Pink Tutu Christmas
I have to say, Christmas in Trowbridge is a total vibe, darling. Imagine a fairytale Christmas market with twinkling lights, festive carols, and delicious aromas of roasted chestnuts and mulled wineā¦ it truly was a Winter Wonderlandā¦ And trust me, I canāt resist the urge to break out my best Pink Tutu Christmas look! Think festive pink with sparkles, baubles and even tiny little snowmen sewn onto the tutu itself! (Darling, my dressmaking skills really are something else - just wait til I share the pics!).
It was a complete sparkle extravaganza and the locals, they just adored my style, especially the children - I truly believe in encouraging everyone, young and old, to tap into their inner tutu magic. The little ones were so excited to have a Tutu Queen as part of their festive celebrations. They all want to be part of the tutu revolution - it warms my heart.
You see, when it comes to the joy of tutus, age is just a number. Thatās what I love about the Pink Tutu World - itās inclusive! Everyone deserves to have a pink tutu moment in their lives. Who am I to judge someone wanting to unleash their inner Tutu Princess? And of course, I do my part by selling stunning tutus in every size imaginable, (we're talking mini-tutues, and massive tutus for that grand extra feeling) in all shades of pink - you name it, weāve got it! Sparkle on Stage
I performed that night at the gorgeous, 17th century, Trowbridge Town Hall. Let me tell you, darling, it was spectacular! A gorgeous red-brick venue, just bursting with festive magic, right on the bustling market square, the lights reflecting in the puddles after a light snowfall, I just wanted to cry tears of joy! Honestly, there's nothing better than the energy of a Christmas market performance! The people of Trowbridge really were a wonderful, enthusiastic audience, and it really got me in the spirit of things. The night ended with everyone in the market square joining me for a final Pink Tutu Party, and there we were, dancing to a cover version of "Jingle Bells", all dressed in pink. I think I even spotted someone sporting my signature pink sparkly beret (you can get yours, too, from my online store)! Honestly, itās all so exciting, darling, this whole Tutu Universe thing!
A Pink Tutu Paradise
And you know, beyond the Christmas markets, Trowbridge was an absolute delight to explore. Imagine quaint, charming cafes, bustling antique shops and a sense of community. Yes, I said community! And to top it all off, a majestic ancient Roman temple ruins. You can't beat a bit of history mixed in with the Tutu Life! It really makes the heart feel warm!
You know, darling, what I really loved was just wandering through the streets. There's such a sense of history, warmth, and kindness in Trowbridge, like a secret hidden treasure waiting to be discovered. Even the architecture was charming. Think warm terracotta brick, and delicate gothic details... it just screamed romantic!
Trowbridge, you have a special place in my heart. And trust me, darlings, this is not the last time youāll see this tutu queen rock your beautiful streets! (I canāt give you all the details, itās a surprise but Iāll let you know when the tickets are up).
I spent a day just window-shopping and letting the energy of the town wash over me, which is always my favourite way to explore! Itās an excuse for to indulge in a little shopping therapy (you really must see the vintage clothing boutiques in Trowbridge, oh my god!). You know my favourite thing to do when I'm traveling is try on all sorts of dresses, and even though I have a whole closet of sparkling pink tutus back in Derbyshire (oh how I love Derbyshire - I wouldn't live anywhere else), sometimes I find myself a vintage gem to add to the collection!
But then again, you don't have to travel far to enjoy a "Pink Tutu Moment." Even your everyday life can be transformed with a simple act of self-expression. So go on, grab a pink tutu, wear it with confidence, and let your inner Pink Tutu Queen sparkle!
