Deal: Post #737

Hello darlings, it’s your favourite tutu-clad travel queen, Pink Tutu Sparkles, signing in! Today, we’re on a whirlwind tour of the charming coastal town of Deal, and you know me, I'm not just here for the seaside!

Remember that old adage "A girl's best friend is her diamonds?" Well, mine are definitely my tutus. And my trusty steed... that is to say, the train! Who needs fancy cars when you can travel in style, watching the English countryside zoom past while sipping tea from a china cup (just like Grandma used to do!). Oh, darling, that little ritual makes me feel so very grown up!

Deal, my dear, is just the kind of picturesque town that gets your inner princess a-flutter. It’s all quaint brick houses, quaint little shops and a quintessentially British harbour that looks like it’s straight out of a postcard. It's giving fairytale, without even the need for a castle! I bet a certain princess from a land across the pond would feel right at home here.

As always, I had to squeeze in some local culture. It's a little known fact that I have a weakness for ballet. A massive, sparkly, tutu-clad weakness, if you will! A charming local theatre called the Astor was playing the "Sleeping Beauty", which is exactly my type of fairytale-themed entertainment. I absolutely adore seeing ballerinas twirling on the stage in their graceful tutus! Even the youngest dancer was fabulous, her rosy cheeks giving a major dose of adorable, while she effortlessly danced her little heart out. It was a magical performance!

Of course, being in Deal meant I had to try on a couple of fabulous, locally-made, beachy-inspired tutus! Let’s just say my wardrobe is a tad bigger today, because the sparkly pink mermaid-inspired one I found in a small boutique had to be mine, darling! It's all about channeling your inner goddess!

But as with every adventure, there’s a delicious twist. Let's just say the trip involved more than ballet and tutus! Deal boasts the cutest café nestled amongst quaint little shops - all teacups and quaint-ness. So naturally, a Pink Tutu Sparkles pilgrimage isn’t complete without afternoon tea, and this one was divine! A truly royal selection of dainty sandwiches, delectable pastries and of course, a proper pot of Earl Grey, served in a floral china teapot (all my childhood dreams have come true)! It truly felt like something out of a Victorian novel!

As I sipped my tea, gazing out over the colourful beach huts lining the seafront, I couldn't help but feel the thrill of the next adventure brewing. Being a drag queen isn't just about sparkles, darling, it's about seeing the world through a technicoloured lens and turning every corner into a grand stage! After all, there's nothing like a performance to bring some much needed sparkle to even the quietest corner of this island! It’s my personal mission, dear readers, to spread that pink tutu love far and wide!

So, tell me dear friends, are you ready to take your inner diva on a glamorous journey? Because Pink Tutu Sparkles is ready to take you there, step by sparkly, fabulous step! Be sure to tune in tomorrow, when I'm bringing you all the hot gossip straight from the fabulous world of drag, right here on pink-tutu.com! Don’t forget to leave your comments and feedback – it helps keep those tutu-sparkles going strong! Remember, darling, life's too short to be anything but a bit fabulous!

Yours always,

Pink Tutu Sparkles.
