Hello my darlings!
It's Pink Tutu Sparkles here, bringing you all the glitz and glam from the most fabulous adventure - my recent trip to Newtownards! As you know, I'm all about spreading the joy of pink tutus, and there's no better way to do that than to explore new places and bring the sparkle to new faces.
This time, I decided to travel in style, hopping on a train from my Derbyshire home, all the way to the heart of Northern Ireland. Let me tell you, travelling by train is such a delight! It's a chance to get all glammed up, sit back, enjoy the scenery, and maybe even have a little sing-along with the fellow passengers. You never know, you might just inspire a few to wear a pink tutu themselves!
As for the trip itself, it was simply delightful! I booked a gorgeous little cottage on the outskirts of Newtownards, nestled amongst beautiful rolling hills. You know me, I'm always up for a scenic vista! I was met with such kindness by the locals, and let me tell you, they truly love a good chat. It feels like a community where everyone looks out for one another, a far cry from the bustling, city life of my home in Derby.
I made a beeline for the beautiful town centre and, wouldn't you know it, they have the most charming theatre right in the heart of the town! My heart skipped a beat, just imagining myself dancing onstage, dazzling everyone with a pink tutu and some high kicks. (You just know it’ll happen eventually! 😉)
But the most wonderful discovery? They have a gorgeous little dance studio! Not just any old dance studio, mind you, this one specialises in ballet. Oh, I was practically jumping for joy! You see, my darlings, my journey with pink tutus began at a university ballet club back in the days when I was studying my science degree. I tried on a pink tutu for charity, and haven’t looked back! To be surrounded by all things ballet in a place like Newtownards felt like coming home. I spent hours admiring the beautiful tutus displayed, taking notes on the styles, and already picturing myself doing a ballet class myself, complete with my very own, custom-made Pink Tutu Sparkles version! (It’s being made as we speak!).
Of course, the journey wouldn't be complete without my Pink Tutu Sparkle’s must-have shopping spree! I fell in love with the quirky shops, full of vintage finds and handcrafted delights, the perfect souvenirs for my friends and family. Oh, and I also indulged in a delicious afternoon tea at a local cafe - you just have to embrace the English delights, don’t you?
My time in Newtownards flew by in a flash, filled with laughs, smiles, and a healthy dose of sparkle. It was the perfect escape from the everyday routine and a true testament to the magic of wearing pink tutus. They truly unlock doors, open hearts, and connect you to new and wonderful places!
And that’s exactly why I’m going to make sure this trip is not the last to Newtownards! Oh yes, you can be sure you’ll see Pink Tutu Sparkles bringing the glam to Newtownards again! Perhaps, in a special performance at that stunning town centre theatre! After all, it’s all about spreading joy and embracing life’s wonderful, tutu-tastic adventures!
