I’m so excited to tell you all about my recent trip to Bilston - it's been on my radar for ages and I’ve finally made it! The plan? To bring a bit of my trademark sparkle and, of course, a whole lotta pink to this fab little town in the West Midlands.
First things first, gotta tell you about the journey! Remember my last post about wanting to find a decent carriage for a travel adventure? Well, fate stepped in with a magical train journey. Imagine my joy when I saw a whole carriage painted pink - a dream come true! 💖 It even had cute little pink roses all over the seats! ✨ Let’s be honest, the journey is almost as important as the destination. The whole thing felt like stepping onto a set for a fabulous Victorian era play, but with an added touch of glitz! 🚂
And Bilston did not disappoint. My goodness, what a charming little place! Cobbled streets, cosy little tea shops, and a truly brilliant atmosphere. This place practically begs for a pink tutu - the perfect backdrop for a queen, especially when the locals are so friendly. I think I found my new favourite town in the Midlands! 🤩
First, I did what any respectable queen should do when visiting a new place – find the best bakery! I got myself the most delicious cream tea - imagine warm, freshly baked scones, clotted cream like a fluffy cloud, and a generous dollop of homemade jam! 💖 Every single mouthful was a burst of pure joy - especially in that little tea shop, tucked away on a charming backstreet. They even had a vintage pink teapot!
I felt a little like I'd stepped straight out of a movie, or maybe a page from one of my favourite ballet books. Talking about ballet, you can bet I squeezed in a little class while I was in Bilston. The ballet school was a beautiful old building, full of character. It really gave me the feels! ✨ That sense of excitement that takes over every time I put on a tutu and stretch my legs – it just makes me feel alive. 💖
That evening I had the honour of performing at a fabulous community centre. The space was small, but there was so much enthusiasm - everyone was welcoming and really up for some sparkle. And who could resist Pink Tutu Sparkles, wearing my favourite bright pink tutu and bringing my signature charm to every performance! After all, it’s all about sharing the joy and encouraging everyone to wear their hearts (and tutus) on their sleeves! 💗
The setlist was my usual crowd-pleaser – a mix of pop-tastic, some classical inspiration and a few sassy self-composed numbers, always incorporating that tutu twist that makes Pink Tutu Sparkles well, Pink Tutu Sparkles! I got everyone dancing and it was so much fun! It just goes to show, there's always a reason to put on a pink tutu. 🩰
The trip to Bilston was everything I hoped for. Sometimes it’s so easy to get stuck in the day-to-day and forget about how magical the world can be. Seeing the look of delight on the faces of people when I whirl and twirl in my pink tutu, it reminded me that sparkle and laughter are so important. 💖
I’ll be back in Bilston soon, that’s for sure! I even got a few ideas for new tutu designs from my trip! Can you guess what they are? Perhaps some bright yellow and blue numbers, or even a little bit of vintage tea cup inspired fabrics! ☕️

- You can find me working my day job, testing fabrics in a lab. By night, I transform, ready to rock the stage! Let’s be honest, you need a serious dose of sparkle to offset a life in a lab! 💖
- As for the story of Pink Tutu Sparkles, it's one of those random but life-changing moments! I was studying science at university, yes, that’s me – a science geek who just so happens to love a bit of glitter! As a member of the university's ballet club, we had a charity event where they sold some old tutus for a good cause. One of the tutus was, you guessed it – a magnificent bright pink tutu! The moment I put it on I just knew that it had to become part of my life – the beginning of my fabulous Pink Tutu journey.
As I said before, I am passionate about making the world a bit more pink and a bit more sparkly! 💖 I believe there’s a tutu out there for everyone, it's just about finding the right one and embracing the inner queen! ✨
Remember to always follow your dreams and never be afraid to step out of your comfort zone. Even if it means dancing around in a pink tutu! 😊
