Bishop Auckland: Tutu-ing Around the North! 💖✨

Hello, darling dears! It's your favourite pink-tutu-clad queen, Pink Tutu Sparkles, back for post number 766, and let me tell you, this one's a right hoot! Today's adventure took me all the way up to Bishop Auckland, a charming little town with a surprising amount of… well… cobblestones!

I don’t think I've mentioned this before, but when it comes to travel, I'm a bit of a creature of habit. You see me jetting around on the Eurostar or galavanting about on the back of a Clydesdale, but it's trains I truly love. The rhythmic clinking of the rails, the breathtaking views out the window, the comfy seats... a train journey is an experience! This trip was no different, the scenery whizzing past, showcasing the beauty of the English countryside.

Now, let’s talk fashion. Oh darling, Bishop Auckland was a veritable wonderland of style. For my Bishop Auckland show, I went for a rather grand look. A hot pink tutu with a glittering silver bodice and sparkly silver ballet shoes. It was truly the queen's outfit to wear! After the show, a very nice woman approached me with her two teenage daughters who’d just been to see Swan Lake and they wanted to try on my tutu! They even bought some pink feathers to match my hair! They all looked so beautiful twirling and having fun with their newfound feather-covered tutus. You know, there’s something really wonderful about sharing your love of tutus with the next generation. It’s like you’re passing the torch to a whole new generation of tutu-loving enthusiasts! I'm hoping these young ladies might even join me in my mission to get the entire world tutu-ing!

Bishop Auckland has some fascinating historical spots. They even have a Bishop’s Palace! I popped inside for a quick photo-op, of course, my pink tutu standing out amongst the dusty cobblestone courtyard. That evening I performed my act, twirling and singing in my glorious tutu, the warm cheers of the audience reminding me why I love performing so much.

Of course, no trip would be complete without a little retail therapy, so I popped into a lovely little vintage shop and discovered a gorgeous, sequined jacket. Imagine my delight - perfect for the next show! (It's in hot pink, obviously!). After a spot of afternoon tea, with a scone so good it could've won a competition, it was time for a lovely little horse ride through the beautiful countryside. Can you tell I have a soft spot for anything pink, glittery and a bit equine?

Now, before I let you go, a little bit about my real life for those of you who haven’t heard my story. I may live life in pink and tulle, but by day I am Alex, a quiet science whiz who analyses fabrics in the lab, keeping our clothes strong and fashionable. When I slip on that pink tutu, however, I leave the science behind and transform into a glittery, dancing force of nature! That transformation from a scientific world of polyester percentages to the glamour of pink tutu sequins never ceases to amaze me!

Bishop Auckland, you have a place in my tutu-clad heart forever! Until next time, darlings! Remember to keep your eyes peeled for Pink Tutu Sparkles on www.pink-tutu.com.

Stay sparkling! ✨💖
