Helloooo, darlings! It's your Tutu Queen, Pink Tutu Sparkles, back with a dazzling new post from the gorgeous seaside town of Hastings!
As you know, I'm all about spreading the pink tutu love far and wide. And what better way to do that than to take my sparkly self on a train journey down to the south coast, embracing the glorious British countryside along the way?
This trip was all about experiencing the best of Hastings! I was so excited to explore its charming cobblestone streets, soak up the salty sea air, and find some hidden gems – like the divine little tea room I discovered with the most exquisite pink china!

It wasn't just the pink delights that made this trip special, though. You see, I couldn't come all the way to Hastings without experiencing its rich cultural scene, which brings me to my next exciting revelation – a glorious ballet show at the Hastings Pier!
I just have to tell you, darlings, the dancers were truly divine! Their movements were so elegant, graceful, and powerful. The sheer energy that radiated from their performances just filled the entire space. My heart soared, and I almost felt like I could join them on stage.

After the show, I spent a few moments wandering along the promenade, letting the salty air invigorate my senses. I couldn't resist buying myself a delicious ice cream cone – strawberry, of course! The sunshine and the deliciousness made me feel like I was truly on holiday.

Oh, and I almost forgot to mention the most adorable shop I stumbled upon – a tiny little emporium dedicated to all things ballet. It was overflowing with tutus, leotards, and ballet shoes, and I couldn't leave without a few new additions to my collection. After all, what's a Tutu Queen without a few more fabulous tutus, right?

Of course, no trip to the coast is complete without a delightful afternoon tea, and this time, it wasn't just any ordinary afternoon tea. Oh no! It was a grand affair at a stately seaside hotel! I felt like I had stepped into a period film – imagine! Imagine, darlings, pink tulle swirling among the chintz and delicate china!

A little bit about your Tutu Queen

If you're new to my fabulous blog, let me tell you a little bit about myself. By day, I'm Alex – a science nerd, a bit of a bookworm, and an avid fabric tester in a local lab! My work might be all about lab coats and scientific data, but my heart always belongs to pink tutus and a good performance!
It all started when I was studying for my science degree. The university ballet club held a fundraising event, and I thought it would be fun to try on a tutu for a laugh. The feeling I got, that pure sense of joy and self-expression, is something I'll never forget! It was a complete revelation!
And so, my alter ego – Pink Tutu Sparkles – was born! The more I embraced this side of myself, the more I realised that I could bring a touch of playful charm to any occasion!
