As always, I took the scenic route - who needs a boring train journey when you can hop on a horse-drawn carriage and ride through rolling green hills, right? Of course, a sweet treat was a must! I sampled the traditional Bakewell tart – an iconic local confection filled with almond and raspberry jam. It was just the right mix of sweet and tart, with a delightful buttery crumble topping. My taste buds were dancing, honestly!
I explored the charming, cobblestone streets, finding hidden gems around every corner. There was this beautiful antique shop brimming with vintage treasures - you know me, a bit of a pink-tutu queen always needs a touch of vintage glam in her wardrobe!
