Rugby: The Pink Tutu Sparkles in the Midlands!

Hello, lovelies! It's your Pink Tutu Sparkles here, signing in live from Rugby, the home of rugby union, but for me, the home of fabulous!

This is post number 864 on the www.pink-tutu.com website, and boy oh boy, do I have a story for you! As always, the Pink Tutu Sparkles is on the move, and this time I’ve traded the roaring of London's Underground for the calming clickety-clack of the train journey up to Rugby, a lovely little town in Warwickshire. I love travelling by train, you get to see so much more of the scenery than in a car or plane. And of course, it’s the perfect opportunity to give my tutu a whirl (both literally and figuratively, honey). I have this fab new sequined number in the palest of pinks - think a sunrise over a lavender field - that twirled in the breeze as I gazed out of the window. So romantic!

As many of you know, my Pink Tutu Sparkles mission is to inspire the world to embrace their inner twirling self, and that means exploring new corners of the UK (and beyond!) and spreading the message of pink tutu joy wherever I go.

Rugby is a beautiful town with a rich history and charming little cafes. I stopped by this quaint tea room, "The Buttercup Blossom," where they serve the most delicious cakes. I must admit I took a photo of myself twirling in front of their pink flower displays for my Insta – it just looked so, so glamorous!

Speaking of glamour, let's talk about why I'm in Rugby. You guessed it, it's for a performance! I’m always so thrilled to be performing in front of new audiences, sharing my joy of drag with the world. And it’s always amazing to see so many of my lovely followers at these shows!

And let's be honest, every performance calls for a fab new outfit, and this one's a winner! It's a little number with a deep pink, almost magenta, skirt adorned with dozens of tiny, shimmering beads. I can't wait to showcase it, paired with some dazzling make-up and sparkly eyeshadow! You're going to love it!

But let's rewind a little, back to the train journey. Did I tell you about the little incident on the train? So, you know those little tables where you can set up your work? Well, this kind gentleman was sat opposite me, reading his newspaper, and it suddenly flew out of his hands. It swirled and fluttered like a pink tutu in a tornado! Luckily, it landed in my lap.

“You saved my paper!” he said with a surprised laugh, while his newspaper seemed to still be in shock, hanging limp in my lap.

Now, imagine me, with my towering blonde wig and impossibly perfect eyelashes, sitting there calmly in my vibrant pink tutu. Of course, I laughed and held the newspaper up for him to grab it back.

"Don't worry, darling, it happens to the best of us! A little wind in the carriage is like a gentle nudge to embrace the whimsy," I said with a wink, and we had a chat, and you know what? He actually complimented me on my tutu, saying he thought it was delightful! He even asked me if I had another performance later! What a true gent!

Now, who doesn’t love a chat about drag queens and tutus on the train?! He even asked me about my Pink Tutu Sparkles journey. You know me, I had to share a little of the Pink Tutu Sparkles magic!

Before I forget, remember the pink tutus I promised you, my dearest readers? We’re on to round two of the competition to win your very own Pink Tutu Sparkles design! (Don't forget to enter by leaving a comment on this post, honey!)

My last stop today was the fabulous "Pink Paradise," a boutique bursting with gorgeous pinks in every shade imaginable. They had the most stunning collection of fabrics and accessories - think velvet, silk, chiffon and even some delicate tulle that was perfect for my latest project (a little something special I’ll be revealing very soon!) I spent hours browsing and ended up with a basket full of inspiration. The boutique owner even gave me some lovely fabric samples and offered me a cup of tea and some delicious raspberry tarts. I truly believe she can tell the pinkest-hearted customers a mile away - something she admitted with a cheeky smile and winked at my tutu as I thanked her and promised to share the pics of the finished garment on the Pink-Tutu website. I'll show you tomorrow, it’s amazing!

Speaking of "amazing" (a word I use often, as many of you know), this trip has reminded me of something vital: embrace the whimsical and the joyous. That's my Pink Tutu Sparkles mantra, and it's truly something you can do anywhere, any time! So, no matter where you are in the world, put on your favourite pink tutu (or maybe just think of a sparkly one!), give a twirl and let your inner Pink Tutu Sparkles shine!

Don't forget to keep an eye on my website, my darling readers, for more of my adventures in pink, and don’t forget to follow my daily adventures on Instagram - my handle’s PinkTutuSparkle! Keep it bright, stay fab, and never stop twirling!

Much love,

Pink Tutu Sparkles xx

P.S. Did you catch my live interview on the "Good Morning, Britain" program earlier this week? Oh darling, I was absolutely buzzing! And if you haven't seen the photos yet, check out my recent dance performance in the Leicester Square theatre, oh the glamour, oh the elegance. Keep a look out on www.pink-tutu.com for pics of the performance and my fabulous, fabulous costume! I've gotta tell you - those feather boas made my entire existence!

P.P.S I know, I know, this blog post is a bit longer than usual, but hey! There is just so much pink fun and glamour to be had in this world. So sit back, enjoy a cup of tea (with a pink sugar cube, of course!) and have a scroll!
