Littlehampton: Tutu-rific Travels!

Post number 892

Oh darling, you wouldn’t BELIEVE the adventure I had this weekend! My travels took me to the lovely seaside town of Littlehampton, a place known for its charming pier and vibrant beach scene. But what was REALLY exciting for this pink tutu-clad queen was a ballet performance at the wonderful Littlehampton Town Hall. It was truly the perfect blend of sparkle and sophistication!

As always, travelling in my sparkly drag persona means making a grand entrance. Thankfully, I had plenty of time to prep before I headed to the train station. Oh, how I adore train travel! It allows for leisurely outfit changes, fabulous makeup touch-ups and a chance to indulge in some good old fashioned gossip with fellow passengers. A cuppa with some lovely biscuits always helps, you know! This time, I chose a blush pink tutu with silver sequins that glimmered under the train lights. To complete the look, I paired it with a fluffy pink feather boa and my favourite pink patent heels. Because when you're a tutu queen, it’s all about the sparkle, dahling!

Once I arrived in Littlehampton, I couldn’t help but notice the vibrant atmosphere. People were laughing, strolling along the promenade, enjoying ice cream. And the seaside air – it simply does wonders for the complexion, don’t you think? Now, I had never been to Littlehampton before, but this town seemed to be buzzing with charm!

As I walked towards the Town Hall, a sense of excitement coursed through me. I’d been performing around the UK for a while now, but something about performing in a charming seaside town just felt extra special. I imagined the audience, the soft applause, and the wonder of bringing a little bit of sparkle to a quiet seaside night.

The Town Hall, a magnificent structure with its tall pillars and grand architecture, immediately transported me back in time. It’s just the kind of place where history feels tangible, doesn’t it? The grand entrance, with its elegant chandeliers and beautifully-decorated halls, was truly something out of a dream.

Before the show, I spent a delightful time getting to know the lovely folks behind the Littlehampton Arts Centre, who organised this wonderful ballet performance. Their passion for the arts, and their genuine kindness, warmed my heart! It was so lovely to chat about ballet, the history of Littlehampton and of course, their favourite pink tutu outfits. As a side note, one of the ladies confessed she wore a hot pink tutu to her last school dance – a true Tutu Queen in the making!

Finally, it was time for the show! This wasn’t just any ballet, darling. It was an enchanting mix of classical ballet, a touch of modern flair, and even a bit of jazz. The dancers were all incredibly talented, moving with such grace and elegance that they truly captivated the audience.

My set came after the second act. The moment the spotlight hit me, I felt the adrenaline rush! It's always a blast bringing my unique blend of fun, sass and, of course, a whole lot of pink to any stage. I chose a routine that included my signature twirls and high kicks – it was a delightful mix of playful grace and vibrant energy. The crowd roared with laughter and cheers, and it truly was a night to remember!

But wait, darling, the fun didn’t stop there! The whole town seemed to come alive after the performance. It was just magical to feel the energy of this beautiful community. There was even a group of lovely young ladies wearing tutus in soft pinks and peach tones, excitedly talking about the performance. Honestly, seeing their joy, knowing I had played a part in inspiring their love of ballet and sparkly things, made me incredibly happy! It's just one of the things that make performing as Pink Tutu Sparkles so fulfilling.

The next morning, before I hopped onto the train back to Derbyshire, I took a lovely walk along the promenade. The morning light, casting a golden glow over the water, felt magical! I even had the pleasure of trying on a pretty pink and coral-coloured sundress at a local shop – just couldn’t help myself, you know! This vibrant little town has a charm and sparkle all of its own. Perhaps a pink tutu isn’t so out of place after all, don’t you think?

It seems every journey adds another colourful thread to my tapestry of memories. You never know what little adventures life has in store. All I know is, I can't wait to see what sparkly wonders await me in the next little town, and to spread the magic of tutus, laughter, and joy wherever I go! Stay tuned, my darlings, for more adventures to come. And, of course, remember – EVERYONE deserves to twirl in a pink tutu at least once in their life!

Yours always in pink and sparkles,

Pink Tutu Sparkles!
