Beeston: Tutu-ing Around the UK - Blog Post #963

Hello my lovely Tutu Angels! It's your favourite pink-tutu-clad diva, Pink Tutu Sparkles, here! Back from another whirlwind adventure and absolutely bursting with excitement to share all the fabulous details with you. Buckle up, darlings, because this is going to be a pink and sparkly ride!

Today's journey takes us to Beeston, a charming town nestled in the heart of Nottinghamshire. It's been a long time since I last graced the streets of this delightful town, and I have to say, Beeston, you've definitely got a new sparkle about you!

I arrived in style, naturally, aboard a vintage steam train - it wouldn't do to arrive anywhere less than perfectly glammed! With the windows down, I felt the wind in my pink feather boa as I enjoyed the scenic journey. The fields of wildflowers, the quaint cottages, everything was bathed in a golden hue of sunshine - a perfect setting for a fabulous tutu-clad adventure!

Once in Beeston, I felt a wave of nostalgia wash over me. The familiar cobblestone streets, the traditional pubs, and the charming little shops - it felt like stepping back in time. Beeston's definitely got that "olde worlde" charm, but with a modern twist, making it the perfect spot for a little Tutu Queen sightseeing!

Of course, my mission is to share the beauty of Beeston with you, my beloved Tutu Angels, but I'm also on a quest to sprinkle the town with a little pink tutu magic! My plan? To recruit every Beeston resident (or at least the ones with an adventurous side) to join my pink tutu movement. And let me tell you, Beeston embraced my mission with open arms, and they were READY to tutu!

First, I did what every self-respecting Pink Tutu Sparkles does - went shopping! I popped into the fabulous "Threads of Pink," a charming boutique brimming with clothes that practically begged me to wear them! Let's just say, my wardrobe is about to undergo a seriously pink overhaul, complete with some spectacular additions from the boutique. If you ever visit Beeston, do check it out - the owner, Alice, is an absolute darling!

After I'd shopped to my heart's content, I set my sights on Beeston's local theatre, the "Beeston Playhouse". I adore a bit of theatrical extravagance, and it's always a treat to catch a show while travelling. And what better way to experience it than dressed to the nines? My dazzling pink tulle dress, complete with bedazzled straps, made a spectacular entrance! The theatre, a gem hidden away in a quiet backstreet, is a perfect setting for all the theatrical whimsy.

Later in the evening, I made my way to the "Red Lion," the heart and soul of the local pub scene, a buzzing haven of laughter and good cheer. It's not often I find myself sipping on a pint (well, maybe just a little sip), but the friendly atmosphere was so welcoming I couldn't resist! It's incredible how community spirit can thrive even in the most unlikely of places!

But the real highlight of the day? Beeston's local park, the stunning "Beeston Fields!" Oh, the joy! Picture this - acres of lush greenery, shimmering ponds reflecting the setting sun, a bandstand alive with the melodies of a local orchestra, and all of this enhanced by the gentle dance of the sunbeams on the tulle of my majestic pink tutu. Yes, I was definitely in my element, the embodiment of pink tutu joy! I decided that, right then and there, we needed to start a ballet school!

As the sun began to set on Beeston, I realised that it was time to make my grand exit. My train, shimmering in the golden light, awaited, ready to whisk me back to the glitz and glam of my next adventure. I can honestly say that Beeston has a special place in my pink tutu-shaped heart now, and I know you’ll agree - it's just too fabulous not to be on everyone’s itinerary!

Toodles for now, darling Tutu Angels!

Keep shining brightly, Pink Tutu Sparkles xx
