Welcome to Pink-Tutu.com! Darling, I'm absolutely thrilled to be writing this post from the stunning seaside town of Deal, right here in Kent! This trip has been absolutely divine, and as you can see from my Insta (@PinkTutuSparkles, of course!), I'm sporting a new fabulously pink tutu and I'm feeling oh so very inspired!
For this outing, I've opted for a train journey - a girl's gotta love those views! My little pink suitcase is jam-packed with the perfect pastel-hued ensembles - you know me, all about that pink perfection! And, as always, I brought along a delightful selection of pink tutus - one for each occasion, you understand.
Deal is the epitome of charm! Picture cobbled streets, a picturesque harbour, and breathtaking views that seem to stretch out forever. My love affair with this lovely little town began with a whirlwind journey last summer - let's just say, a girl like me needs a little dose of seaside therapy from time to time. And since my schedule was free as a bird, I decided to whisk myself away again.
And speaking of therapy, there's something about Deal that just calms the soul. It's a place where you can completely unwind, and soak up the beauty and tranquility of the English coastline. Plus, the shops are simply delightful! My purse had a little too much fun while we were in town, indulging in everything from beautiful pastel-hued dresses to stunning pastel hats. Oh, darling, I haven't seen so much pink outside a candy floss stand in a long time!
You see, finding that perfect shade of pink is something of an art form. There are endless shades and hues, each whispering tales of feminine delight. For my Deal adventure, I discovered a divine little shop called The Boutique, packed full of gorgeous things - and naturally, I found myself lost in the racks of vintage frocks! And I swear, one of them whispered to me - "Pink Tutu Sparkles, wear me to the beach, we shall turn heads and win hearts!" I mean, what could a girl say?! It was just fate.
But let's be honest, dear reader, what I really adore is dancing - particularly ballet! Deal has this stunning community theatre and every Saturday morning, I attend a little class. All that plier and pas de bourrée are perfect for a little pink-tutued queen! Of course, after the class, I pop down to the cafe for some much-needed tea and biscuits! And there's something really magical about those shared moments with other passionate souls who find such joy in expressing themselves through movement.
On the other side of the harbour, nestled amongst a colourful parade of charming little boats, I discovered a quaint theatre nestled amongst a parade of cute boats. You see, they do some lovely productions, but their version of "Swan Lake" absolutely stole my heart! Those elegant swans - so elegant! They reminded me of myself gracefully floating through the streets of Deal, twirling my way from shop to shop. And with the setting sun casting a beautiful orange glow, I knew this was one memory I wouldn't be forgetting!
Of course, every good theatre trip needs a proper post-show feast. This time, we headed to The Lighthouse Restaurant - an adorable little place right on the coast, serving up the most delicious fish and chips and a delightful view. What else could a girl need after a wonderful day out?
During my time in Deal, I was absolutely charmed by the people, their friendly smiles, and that infectious joie de vivre. The little shops - particularly the one I found filled with beautiful ribbons - were all a joy. My pockets may be a little lighter, but my spirit was positively bursting with happiness!
You know, darling, it’s these kind of moments that remind me why I love exploring the world with my tutu in tow. It’s about the laughter, the unexpected discoveries, the memories made, the new friends made and, of course, it’s about embracing the beauty and wonder that life has to offer. I mean, you can't really say no to a little bit of sunshine and seaside charm, can you?
So, my darling readers, I've found my inner serenity right here in Deal.
