Ashington: Tutu Travels #1010!

Helloooo darlings! Pink Tutu Sparkles here, reporting live from the most fabulous town in the north – Ashington! Oh my, I’m so excited to share my adventures with you today, so buckle up, grab a glass of something sparkly, and get ready for a blog post bursting with… well… pink, of course! šŸ’–

It's been a whirlwind of a journey to get here. I always try to travel with flair, so imagine my delight when I snagged a carriage on the 7:45 train! Honestly, it was like a scene from a period drama - plush seats, floral wallpaper, and even a charming, slightly disheveled, but impeccably dressed chap reading a Dickens novel. I felt like I stepped out of a time machine! Then, just before we arrived at my destination, a pair of magnificent Shire horses took over! Imagine! What a perfectly fairytale way to arrive!

Ashington welcomed me with open arms, literally – the crowds were so excited to see me twirl into town in my new hot-pink tutu and matching sequined bolero! I had to buy it in a vintage shop in a little village called… I think it was called… somewhere starting with S! But no matter! It’s totally gorgeous and makes me feel like a princess in a fairyland! šŸ‘‘āœØ

My show here is at the Ashington Civic Centre – such a beautiful venue! It's like stepping back into the Roaring Twenties! I have to say, the locals here are utterly fabulous! There was such a buzz in the air before my performance, I couldn’t wait to take to the stage and unleash my sparkle!

The crowd here went wild when they saw me sashay onto the stage! ā€œPink Tutu! Pink Tutu!,ā€ they were chanting! I absolutely loved every minute of the show, my favourite song was 'Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star' – just couldn’t resist some serious sparkle, and let me tell you, my twirling, pirouetting, and shimmering was phenomenal! (Oh, to be my own biggest fan… sometimes I wish I could clap for myself after the final bow! šŸ˜‚)

Oh my! Did I mention the food? Well, let me tell you, the ladies in the Ashington Women’s Institute organised the most amazing feast. We had coronation chicken (I had extra! Yum! šŸ‘‘), delectable little quiches, a feast of scones (with jam and clotted cream, obviously!), and… and… wait for it! Pink, pink, PINK… pink champagne cocktails! They weren't quite what I'd pictured for a ballet-themed event, but I must say, they were so delicious! My goodness! My tutu actually shined brighter after just a sip! āœØšŸ„‚

It wasn't just the performances and the fabulous food – it was the incredible warmth of the locals that truly made Ashington a truly special place! You see, a drag queen can go anywhere, but it's the genuine smiles and the kindness that makes a place feel like home! Every single person in the audience had such beautiful energy, and the applause after my performance was positively electrifying! It honestly felt like they could’ve kept clapping forever!

I always try to bring a bit of ā€œPink Tutu Sparklesā€ to every town I visit, and in Ashington, it was impossible to avoid sharing my love for all things pink and tutu! My ultimate aim is to see everyone in the world sporting a pink tutu - think of the fashion revolution! I imagine, like, entire city streets bathed in pink, with tutus dancing on every window! Oh my! It would be truly magical! šŸ’– Maybe someday!

Ashington was so lovely, I’ve promised myself I'll be back as soon as possible to bring more sparkly chaos and good cheer to the area!

As for me, well… I'm back to the daily grind, but you can bet I’m bringing a little pink tulle magic to the lab with me. Remember, you can’t let life be too serious, there has to be room for sparkle! So make sure you wear something pink today! I double-dare you!

I’ll be back soon with more pink adventures.

Until then, stay fab, darlings!

Yours in pink tulle,
Pink Tutu Sparkles! āœØšŸ’–
