Bournville: Tutu-ific Travels! ๐Ÿฉฐ๐Ÿ’–

Hello, darling darlings! It's your fabulous Pink Tutu Sparkles here, bringing you another instalment of my daily blog from the enchanting world of pink tutus and twirling adventures!

Today, I'm shimmying and shaking in the delightful town of Bournville, a haven of chocolatey delights and a real treat for the senses. I absolutely adore this place - not just because of the irresistible scent of chocolate that hangs in the air (let's be honest, I wouldn't be a true drag queen if I didn't have a sweet tooth!) but because it's bursting with historical charm and a distinctly whimsical vibe.

This journey began, as it often does, with a whistle of steam and the clatter of a train. I am a train enthusiast, you know. They carry me so far and so fast to places like Bournville, where the adventure begins! As I disembarked from the platform, I could almost hear the gentle tinkle of my tulle dancing in the breeze, a melody so sweet it would rival the clinking of spoons on porcelain in a Bournville tea room.

Oh, and speaking of tea, I found myself drawn to a little tea shop on a cobblestone street. Imagine my delight, lovelies, when I found out the afternoon tea menu was inspired by the town's namesake - chocolate! ๐Ÿซ๐Ÿ’– My dear, the experience was sheer magic: mini chocolate scones with lashings of clotted cream, dainty sandwiches filled with ganache and a rainbow selection of chocolate bonbons. My afternoon tea was a dream, it was like a fairytale spun from chocolate and sugared roses. And of course, no afternoon tea is complete without a good cup of Earl Grey - which I had to indulge in after polishing off a third helping of scones!

After my tea-licious break, I was ready to delve deeper into the captivating charm of Bournville. First on my itinerary, a visit to Cadbury World! Oh my darlings, it was absolutely mesmerising! Not just the chocolatey treats on offer (which I shamelessly sampled as I danced my way through the chocolate fountains) but also the incredible story of the Cadbury family.

As a science geek at heart, I was especially intrigued by the science and innovation behind Cadbury's creations. Their story echoed my own journey to where I am now. See, before I became Pink Tutu Sparkles, I was Alex - a humble, yet brilliant scientist who traded laboratory benches for glittering stages. But I'll let you in on a little secret, darlings... my scientific background is actually pretty important for the world of Pink Tutu Sparkles. See, I am the chief fabric analyst in the laboratory, I test textiles, understand their composition, their texture, their impact on wear. I test, analyse, I'm a detective in the world of fabrics. Which explains how I can identify the perfect pink tulle from a hundred yards away! Even my drag looks often take inspiration from laboratory equipment!

You wouldn't believe how much I loved Cadbury World, my dear! Seeing how the chocolate is made, from bean to bar, was a real eye-opener, and frankly, my dearest readers, it inspired me! Imagine a line of Pink Tutu Sparkles chocolate bars, shimmering with glitter and featuring the most decadent fillings... my mind is reeling with possibilities! ๐Ÿ˜‰

After my Cadbury World adventures, I felt a little more sparkly than usual and it was time for the next part of my Bournville journey - the Cadbury Garden. I have to say, dear readers, it's almost more delightful than Cadbury World! It's a riot of colourful flowerbeds, stunning architecture and even an ice-cream parlour. I absolutely loved the garden, I almost missed my train.

I'm absolutely enchanted by Bournville, darlings! This charming town has certainly lived up to all my expectations - a delightful mix of chocolatey history, stunning scenery, and a welcoming, warm spirit. And of course, what adventure in a new place would be complete without a performance by yours truly, Pink Tutu Sparkles!

Tonight, I'll be gracing the stage at a local theatre, bringing my signature sparkle and joyful dance routines to Bournville. And who knows, maybe I'll even get a few locals to wear a pink tutu. After all, it's my mission to spread the gospel of tulle across the land!

Until next time, darlings! Stay tuned for more tutu-ific travels and fashion adventures right here on www.pink-tutu.com I'm off to find a pink tutu that sparkles as brightly as the chocolatey dreams Iโ€™ve had this evening! โœจ๐Ÿ’–
