A Tutu-filled Train Journey
Now, let me tell you, my journey to Bishop Auckland was pure magic! I caught the train from Derbyshire, nestled in my pink velvet seat and surrounded by shimmering fabrics, naturally. You know I wouldn't be caught dead travelling without my latest pink tutu find, a glorious creation with feathered trim and layers upon layers of tulle. A little peek-a-boo sequin here, a hint of shimmering diamante there – just a tiny bit of Pink Tutu Sparkles on the go, even before I hit the stage!
The "Bishop Auckland Belle" Ballet Dreams
Upon arriving, I was instantly charmed. Bishop Auckland's town centre, all cobblestone streets and quirky shops, felt like stepping back in time. Of course, I had to pop into a few of the shops, just to see if any cute vintage finds were lurking – and a stunning antique locket in the shape of a dancing ballerina absolutely had to come home with me. You see, dear readers, a certain pink-clad performer has a secret: she absolutely adores ballet! And Bishop Auckland is a perfect blend of elegant history and charming bustle, so naturally, my thoughts immediately turned to twirling around the stage with my tutu on!
Horse-powered Adventures in Durham Dales
Speaking of magic, I also spent some time exploring the glorious Durham Dales. And guess how I got there? Yes, dear friends, by horseback! Imagine this: the gentle trot of a steed, the wind in my hair (perfectly coiffed, of course, under a wide-brimmed hat!) , and the breath-taking vista of green hills, sparkling rivers, and ancient ruins all around me. There’s something so wonderfully romantic and majestic about a horseback adventure – a real contrast to the high-heeled energy of my performances, but it was the perfect way to feel grounded, even in my tutu.
