Droitwich Sparkle! Post #1029: A Tutu-tastic Train Journey and Pink Perfection in the Midlands

Hello my lovelies! It's Pink Tutu Sparkles here, reporting live from the enchanting town of Droitwich! This glamorous girl is on a mission, you see - spreading the joy of pink tutus far and wide, and believe me, the Midlands are going to get a sprinkle of sparkle this weekend.

I always say, travelling by train is the perfect way to get into the mood for a new adventure. It's like a magical carpet ride, especially when you're rocking a tutu, a fabulous pink dress, and a whole suitcase full of glitter! This trip was no exception - I boarded the train in my little Derbyshire town, all ready to grace Droitwich with my presence and inspire some tutu-wearing joy.

Now, let's talk about fashion. This particular trip demanded a special outfit. It was an exciting, yet delicate balance - sparkly but understated, chic but comfortable for the train journey. I settled for a dazzling, silk pink dress with a ruffled hemline that cascaded like a cloud of happiness. The colour was just right, reflecting the glorious hues of a late autumn afternoon. I chose a tutu that, despite being a classic ballet design, was shimmering in pink glitter - subtle, yet utterly fabulous. The crown jewel of this ensemble was my dazzling tiara - a tribute to the royalty of every tutu-wearing queen! The train passengers were absolutely smitten with my look, which is always a good thing.

Reaching Droitwich felt like stepping into a time capsule. Imagine cobbled streets, half-timbered houses, and quaint little shops. This charming town is nestled on the edge of the countryside, just a stone's throw from the iconic Droitwich Spa. The air smelled of lavender and sunshine, even with a touch of autumn chill. This magical place already had me in a tutu-wearing daze!

My first stop was a lovely vintage clothes shop filled with pre-loved fashion finds. I discovered a stunning 1950s hat in the most vibrant shade of pink – talk about fate! It’s perfect for my upcoming ballet performances. After my shopping spree, I wandered down a charming cobbled lane lined with cafés. The smell of freshly brewed coffee and home-baked cakes wafted into the air - a sure-fire sign of deliciousness!

It's almost time for the big show! You know me - I'm here for a good time and a tutu-wearing good time. I'm performing a one-woman cabaret this evening at The Theatre, and my friends from The Ballet Company have come to cheer me on. The show's a bit different this time. It’s about celebrating my love for all things pink. We’re talking, ballet, fashion, glitter, and of course, my signature tutu! It's a visual treat with all the frills and sparkles you could ever imagine.

Oh! I mustn't forget to tell you about the highlight of my Droitwich trip: A surprise meet-and-greet with a real-life horse! They say a tutu looks amazing on everyone, even horses, and believe me, this little darling looked utterly enchanting with a pink ribbon tied in its mane.

Of course, a pink-loving queen like myself never travels without her favourite things - a suitcase full of glitter, an endless supply of pink lip gloss, and a little black bag filled with hairspray and the best bobby pins. You can never be too prepared!

Tonight is going to be amazing! I've already spotted a group of girls with their tutus, so I know I'll have a tutu-tastic audience! I can’t wait to show them my sparkle. Until tomorrow my lovelies, remember to spread some tutu-tastic joy and don’t forget, a little bit of pink is always a good thing!

Love always, Pink Tutu Sparkles

P.S. My love for pink tutus has spread like wildfire, but it wasn't always this way. Back in my science student days, before I found my true calling in the glittery world of drag, I was, believe it or not, a lab rat in a white coat. It was at a university charity fundraiser, I found my passion. I’d always been in the university ballet club, but never thought of trying on a tutu - what was I thinking?! So I hesitantly pulled one over my head, and that's where the magic began.

From that moment, I knew my true purpose was to sparkle, to shine, and to spread joy through the magnificent power of pink. It was the start of my transformation. Now I work in a lab testing fabrics - a true scientist with a heart full of tulle and a passion for all things fabulous!

I encourage you to try on a tutu - even for a moment. You never know, it could be your calling too. Maybe that's why I dedicate my life to inspiring everyone to find their inner pink tutu queen, no matter what. Every single one of us deserves to shine!
