Hello, darling! It’s your girl, Pink Tutu Sparkles, back with another adventure from the fabulous world of tutus! 💖 This time, I've taken a little trip up north to the sunny shores of South Shields. Ooh, I just love the way the wind whips through the hair and the sea air is a little bit salty but mostly so refreshing!
So, the journey began as usual – with a grand gallop on a horse! 🐎 Yes, darling, you read that right! I’m not just your average pink-tutu-wearing-diva, I love horses. A horse and cart, what a beautiful and eco-friendly way to get around. Especially as we were able to take a detour through a gorgeous little village just outside Derbyshire, and I can never say no to a bit of countryside loveliness. 🌸
The horse pulled up in a very dramatic, but ultimately graceful manner, outside the little boutique hotel where I was staying. Of course, the owners, the most lovely couple you’d ever meet, came running out to help me unload my trunk. The only thing that could possibly top it was the bottle of Prosecco they popped for me to have a cheeky glass whilst I admired the seaside view from the balcony! 🍾🥂
That night, I was to be dazzling the stage of the famous Starry Night cabaret club, so I spent the day in a frenzy of beauty prep. Think, face masks, a whole symphony of creams, and the kind of pampering only a Queen deserves! 💅💄💋
After the grand pampering session, it was time to find my perfect outfit. You see, I always want to dress for the location, and the sea air had me craving something elegant and flowing! My eyes fell upon a glorious silk chiffon tutu with silver glitter details - perfect for catching the moonlight and the stage lights! ✨💫 It’s important to get a really good picture with this kind of outfit too, you need the right pose to get the look just right, my dears.
As always, the make-up had to be sensational. Let’s just say a bit of a rainbow eye-shadow with extra sparkles is the key to success when you want to dazzle an audience! 🌈 And, of course, a big, beautiful pink flower on my hair. 🌺
So, I set off to the Starry Night club, excited for the night ahead. The stage, the music, the dancing – it’s what I live for, my loves! 🤩
The whole audience erupted with delight as I made my entrance. Just watch my Youtube video, "South Shields Shine", to see it! But of course, the biggest applause was reserved for my first performance. My ballet routine!
I always loved ballet, my dears! From being a young child who wore her tutu and twirled in the living room, to taking my dance lessons at school and university - ballet has always been in my heart! So, of course, you know what was next? A rendition of "Swan Lake"! 🩰💖 I think everyone fell in love a little that night! 🦢
But, you know me, I like to mix it up! We had a bit of a disco singalong after my ballet number, with some cheeky, pop tunes, and then finished it off with a bit of burlesque! My "Dance of the Tutus" is so much fun and it just brings the house down every time! 😉😈 I mean, how could it not? There’s me, twirling in a glorious pink feather tutu and singing a catchy pop song while all my audience sings along. Who doesn't love a little glitter and fun! 🤩 And of course, I finished it off with a grand final bow, because who needs curtains when you’ve got a sassy pink tutu? 💅💖
South Shields, darling, you were magical! 💖✨ And as you all know, I couldn’t possibly leave without making sure I did some shopping for myself. Of course! I popped into a cute little boutique called "Twirl" - how perfectly suited! 🤭 And picked up a lovely turquoise tutu. You just never know when you might need a bit of extra blue sparkle, right? 😜 I always say, it's never too many tutus in your wardrobe!
After a last night of indulgence and a spot of afternoon tea, it was time for me to return to my humble, albeit sparkling, life in Derbyshire. As I gazed out the window, back on South Shields from the back of my horse and cart, I couldn’t help but smile! 🐎 I can’t wait to tell you about my next adventures, my darlings, because I've got so much planned and so much glittery goodness to share!
