Oh my dears! How are you? Can you believe it's already February?! Well, the old Tutu Queen here certainly is full of sparkle and excitement, for it's been another whirlwind of tutus, travel, and, oh my goodness, Finchley!
A Ride Through the Country
Now, my lovelies, let me tell you, getting to Finchley wasn't just a simple hop on the tube, oh no, darling. It was a full-blown, glamorous train journey! You know how much I love the smell of steam engines, the clinking of teacups, and that posh British Railway air. It's all just so very chic. The sun was shining, birds were tweeting, and I felt like a beautiful princess headed for a royal ballet! (And you bet I had my tiara, darling!).
A Pink Tutu Oasis in Finchley
But Finchley itself, dearie! You know, for such a little town, it held some of the most wonderful surprises! I landed right into a tea shop, pink walls, chintz galore, and teacups so delicate they practically whispered! Naturally, I ordered a pot of Earl Grey, scones with clotted cream, and you wouldn't believe it, I even spotted a little vintage tutu hanging in the window. Talk about finding your tribe!
Ballet and Bonnets
My dear dears, of course, no trip to Finchley is complete without a bit of dance! You see, Finchley, my lovelies, it houses a quaint little theatre! You know I am a fan of any theatrical performance! And they had the most captivating ballet show, 'Sleeping Beauty'. And darling, I swear the choreography was divinely inspired by the pinkest tutus you could ever imagine! So very dreamy!
From the Stage to the Street
I don't mind admitting, you know, I actually had a bit of a little twirl after the show, outside in the street! Oh the look on the passersby's faces - so delightfully bewildered! It made for some fab photos, believe me, darling. I had a little giggle when one sweet old lady, bless her cotton socks, gave me a very confused look and said, "A pretty tutu you have, my dear!". It's all about spreading the pink tutu joy, isn't it, my lovelies?
Fashion for Everyone
Of course, I couldn't resist popping into Finchley's most splendid department store to check out their selection! You know I love a bit of window shopping! Well, my darlings, let me tell you, it didn't disappoint! Fabrics galore! Silk scarves, feathered hats, even a pair of little ballet shoes - just perfect for a quick spin! But it was all a bit overwhelming. You know, one must stay strong when faced with so many beautiful things, darling. But I made a quick dash for the sale racks - oh, the thrill! And I emerged triumphant, with a lovely pastel pink feather boa!
A Dreamy Finish
As the sun began to set on Finchley, I thought to myself, "Pink Tutu Sparkles, you have had one wonderful day!". And truly, I had! A beautiful journey, delightful ballet, enchanting stores - and oh, darling, I have some fab photos! I even met some lovely local drag queens! We ended the day sipping champagne and discussing the perfect shade of pink for the upcoming drag shows! Isn't it the most lovely thing about being a drag queen? We're always finding new ways to sparkle.
The Pink Tutu Mission
It's this passion that makes my little dream of spreading pink tutus all over the world so attainable, isn't it? My darlings, it doesn't matter where you're from or what you do. Be it scientist, ballet dancer, or a duchess for a day - let's face it, there's nothing quite as captivating as twirling around in a pink tutu. I even saw a few girls sporting tutus outside the shops, as I left!
