Kensington Calling! #TutuQueen Post 1130

Oh darling, hold onto your feather boas, because Pink Tutu Sparkles is back with another travel tale! This time, we’re headed to the glamorous capital of London, to the swanky Kensington neighbourhood!

The train journey, darling, was just divine. You know me, a carriage to myself, window seat with my copy of Ballet Monthly (this month's feature on the Bolshoi was divine!).

Oh, but you just have to picture it, the way I looked! My gorgeous pink, sparkly tutu - custom made by the fabulous Tilly's Tutu Emporium in Chesterfield - billowed around me as I sipped my rose tea (extra pink, obviously!). The carriage seemed to twinkle with every glitter particle that escaped from my meticulously made-up face.

You see, my darlings, Kensington calls to my inner tutu-clad princess. I mean, think about it, it’s literally brimming with regal history, grand buildings, and oh, those fashion shops! A pink-loving queen's dream, really!

My first stop, as you can imagine, was Harrods. Now, you all know about the fabulous Food Hall – I just had to pick up some delicious pink macarons, naturally – but the beauty of Harrods lies within their designer boutiques, my lovelies! I popped into Christian Louboutin (naturally) and indulged in some exquisite pink stilettoes. They’ll look utterly divine with my new shimmering pink tulle skirt from the fabulous vintage boutique nestled right next to the food hall. Talk about a fairy godmother blessing!

Now, Kensington has an undeniable charm that transcends any kind of glamour. After the hustle and bustle of the shops, I decided on a little stroll in Hyde Park, and oh, the crisp air! It’s honestly a must for every queen, and the majestic Serpentine Lake – perfect for my daily dose of vitamin D, darling. The park itself is truly a feast for the eyes - all those beautifully kept flower beds and the rustling leaves of ancient trees...pure magic, honestly!

I was simply bursting to be surrounded by such magnificence! It was an absolute joy, dearie, an absolute joy. Of course, I had my usual daily pink champagne cocktail, perfectly mixed with raspberry vodka and just a hint of elderflower liqueur. It’s a little bit of bubbly heaven, trust me!

However, even for the most flamboyant pink tutu enthusiast like myself, the ultimate treat was waiting for me right on my doorstep in the beautiful, historic Kensington Palace! A royal ballerina from the National Ballet Company performed the White Swan pas de deux, darling! I had to go back for two more performances!

Oh, and talking about a pink tutu haven...let’s talk about The Kensington Rose Theatre! Such an incredible atmosphere! This theatre boasts an array of entertainment, from traditional shows to up-and-coming musicals. I had a divine time watching a show where the leading lady wore, you guessed it, a bright pink tulle tutu! She was positively radiant, it almost brought tears to my eyes. Just imagine, the entire audience was filled with the glow of the stage lights and her brilliant pink costume! Truly a beautiful moment.

I mean, where else can a queen like me get such amazing entertainment, impeccable fashion choices, and delightful walks in the fresh air, all wrapped in one fantastic, pink tutu-inspired weekend?!

This whole journey was absolutely fantastic! Kensington, you've made me feel so regal, so pampered, so… well, me! And my lovely, loyal followers, don't you forget it - this city was simply designed to be experienced by a pink tutu queen like me!

And of course, you’re not surprised to hear that I finished my trip in style! I waltzed my way down Kensington High Street in my pink tulle skirt, clutching my brand new pink stilettos (which did not, I should add, take any of the “oomph” out of my fabulous walking strut, darling!). I even popped into one of the adorable coffee shops and had the most delicious afternoon tea, a scone piled with strawberry jam and clotted cream, all accompanied by a hot, frothy latte. Now, darling, that's what I call living the good life!

But alas, my adventures must come to an end! Kensington, my pink-tinted dreams, goodbye! Until next time, my dearest, lovely readers! Be sure to head to www.pink-tutu.com every single day, darling, for all the very latest on my Pink Tutu Sparkle adventures! And don't forget to join me, you beautiful bunch, in embracing all that is pink and glittery, and never, ever be afraid to wear a tutu! After all, what’s life without a little sparkle?

Until next time, darlings, xoxo.
