Ashington, Here I Come! - Pink Tutu Sparkles' Adventures - Post #1268

Hello my darling darlings! It’s Pink Tutu Sparkles here, and you just know this week is going to be fabulous, because darling, I'm in Ashington!

Ashington, as you know, is one of my absolute favourite little gems tucked away in the North East of England. It’s got such a fantastic charm, and you can just feel the history swirling around you. I just adore that it’s nestled away so perfectly in the county of Northumberland, the birthplace of that most majestic of animals – the horse, of course! Which means you just know a lovely, gentle, pink tutu clad steed will be my mode of transport whilst I’m in Ashington! You wouldn’t believe the incredible head-turning looks we get when we trot down the high street, the locals just adore us! They all say they love my vibrant personality. My favourite thing, though, is when we trot past the gorgeous St. Andrews Church – you just have to visit and soak up the stunning gothic architecture! I'm making a beeline straight there to make a donation to their preservation fund, as, just like Pink Tutu Sparkles, their elegance deserves every ounce of support they can get!

And, speaking of my beloved tutus, I’ve brought a whopping three with me! That's right darlings, I can't travel without a serious outfit change or two, and let's just say these little beauties will certainly turn heads, especially amongst the good folk of Ashington. Each one has been custom-designed, and I just love the little touches – sequins, pearls, a splash of bright pink feathers – and each is a true embodiment of the pink tutu philosophy – fun, fierce, and utterly fabulous! And for a fabulous outing on Thursday, I have my must-have matching pair of pink sparkly shoes, for dancing! Did I tell you? This time I am performing at the beautiful and historical Queen's Hall, and my theme this week is all about... ballet! You bet I am! I have the best outfits to show off my dancing, of course, you're never going to catch Pink Tutu Sparkles without a few pirouettes!

But first, it’s off to explore a little! I've heard the Northumberland Miners' Institute has the most wonderful display of 19th-century coal mining relics. Who knows, maybe there’s a bit of inspiration for my next Pink Tutu Sparkles outfit hidden amongst the dust and grime! Honestly, who can resist a little bit of bling? Now, the local art scene – the Woodhorn Museum is bursting with artistic talent! I have a good feeling they’ll definitely love my Pink Tutu Philosophy, especially the pink floral display for my Tuesday show, and a chance to get those ballet slippers on and dance like I've never danced before!

Before we talk any more about Ashington, let’s talk about getting here. Oh, darling! I love a train journey. There’s just something so elegant, so glamourous about getting around on the rails! As I said earlier, the horses are fabulous too, and I always get a few good compliments on my sparkly saddles, but a train journey is a must for any Pink Tutu Sparkles excursion! A carriage window is my very favourite place to brainstorm new tutu designs! Especially after a good afternoon with a nice cup of tea and an enormous chocolate brownie - so quintessentially British.

The people here are such an absolute treat. Darling you know how much I love getting dressed up to meet and greet locals! They are all so wonderful and enthusiastic to see me strutting through Ashington in my tutus and my glitter! I've heard about an exciting new market stall in Ashington town centre called The Pink Tutu Emporium – oh how exciting, darling, you’ll be getting the news on that tomorrow! What's more, I just heard about a ballet show at The Ashington Civic Theatre - the best venue in the North! And as a fellow ballet aficionado, I’m already feeling the pink tutu vibes! Now that is a show I have to see! I mean, can you believe there is a real Queen's Hall in Ashington - It just adds so much charm and prestige to the entire place! My mind's racing, I already have plans for my Friday night dress - a beautiful pink silk outfit that will really capture the elegance and class of the Victorian architecture of the town. It'll compliment the historical ambience of the hall wonderfully. I'm also already dreaming up my act. Oh darling, let’s just say I will make Ashington proud with a showstopping performance. There’s just something so captivating about shining under the spotlight – and being in my beloved pink tutu. I can't wait for the Ashington audiences to see my pink tutu collection and be totally amazed by its fabulousness. They are all ready for a little bit of pink tutu magic, believe me!

There are always such amazing treats to be had at any of the traditional cafes in the area, darling! Every visit to Ashington just has to include some classic fish and chips! Or maybe I’ll head for a lovely little slice of local Ashington's cake – and darling, it better be a strawberry shortcake – to really feel like I'm part of this magnificent little town! The best bit of it all is enjoying all of this from the back of my trusty steed, it’s the only way to feel truly connected with Ashington, with my trusty steed and a smile to rival the summer sunshine. Oh, darling! I feel so alive just thinking about my adventures in Ashington. It’s going to be a magnificent time, I just know it! And of course I’ll be sharing every minute of it here on Pink Tutu Sparkles' Blog!

Speaking of which, darling! I must dash! So much to do before my first performance tonight! The Queen's Hall has to be ready for the grand entrance of Pink Tutu Sparkles, and that means glitter! Now where are those fabulous eyelashes…?

See you later, and stay sparkling!
