Birmingham, here I come! The thrill of a new city is coursing through my veins, and, as you know, a little dose of excitement needs a healthy dollop of pink! So, I'm sporting my most fabulous, shimmering pink tutu – because let’s face it, a bit of tulle never hurt anyone.
Today’s journey? All aboard the choo-choo train! Now, some might think that’s a bit passé, darling, but a journey by train just adds that extra touch of whimsical glamour. The rhythmic sway of the carriages, the clatter of wheels, the glimpses of scenery flitting past the window…it all adds up to a mood-setting experience, don’t you think? Plus, you can’t beat a good window seat for perfecting a power pose in a fluffy pink tutu!
Speaking of power, today I'm performing in the heart of Birmingham at the beautiful … well, let’s just say the most glamorous, stunning, pink-tastic venue ever! 🤭 This fabulous establishment boasts enough glitz to rival the crown jewels and enough space for everyone to wear their most fantastic pink tutu, dance till they drop, and let loose! The atmosphere, darling, is going to be electric, like a sprinkle of pink magic on a summer evening. 🤩
Now, before I get lost in the dazzling anticipation of tonight’s show, let's delve into some pre-performance essentials, shall we? ✨
First up – Outfit Check! 👚
You simply can't have a Pink Tutu Queen without the perfect tutu. Now, this isn’t any ordinary tutu. No, darling, it's custom-made with layers of feather-light tulle, shimmering in shades of pink that change with every glance. Think flamingo pink, bubblegum pink, and, of course, that unmistakable hot pink to really make the stage roar! A tiny touch of strategically placed sequins just adds the perfect amount of oomph to ensure that even the darkest corners of the theatre sparkle under my fabulous glow.
Now, the outfit's not complete without the matching sparkly, statement jewellery – my crown and tiaras (yes, I’m wearing multiple) are the perfect touch, like tiny pink fairy lights that scream, “Look at me, I'm fabulous!” And don't forget about those amazing pink stilettos. I’m going to pick up some of those sparkly beauties once I arrive!
Now, for a little touch of elegance. You’re probably thinking “But, Pink Tutu Queen, surely there’s more to this glamorous ensemble than just pink tulle and sparkles?!” My answer, my darlings?
Yes, absolutely! The secret ingredient to a truly magnificent pink tutu look is a dash of the unexpected. A black velvet jacket, cut just so to cinch the waist and accentuate my hourglass figure. You know, something to bring the right amount of chicness into the room. 🖤💖
Once I'm ready to take to the stage, it's all about bringing out my inner sparkle. There's a reason I've got my trusty glitter bomb in tow (don’t worry, the venue allows it!)! Think of it as my own private magic spell – one little shake of this mystical potion and the audience is transported into my world of glitter and giggles. 🎇
And for those of you thinking that “Alex” spends the day in a white lab coat in some sterile environment, let’s dispel that myth right now! I might have to get my hands dirty in a science lab every morning, testing the durability of new fabrics (after all, I need to make sure my tutus last!), but once the workday ends, the pink tutu comes out to play. Don’t think for one moment I don’t have a good laugh with my colleagues in the lab about my nightly gigs - they love my fabulous attire! 🥼 💖
