Solihull Calling: Tutu Queen in the Midlands!

Post Number: 1311

Hello, darlings! Pink Tutu Sparkles here, and I’m absolutely thrilled to be bringing my fabulous self to the heart of the Midlands this week - Solihull, you’re next on my tutu-licious adventure!

As a true believer in the transformative power of a pink tutu (and, well, let’s be honest, a lover of all things sparkly), I’m on a mission to spread the joy, the confidence, and the sheer whimsy that a good tulle skirt can bring. I know some might think it’s just a bit of a costume, a playful fancy dress. But for me, it’s a symbol of empowerment, creativity, and above all, joy!

Now, before you get any funny ideas, I’m not talking about those itchy, scratchy, and overly-serious tutus you might have seen at a ballet class. No, darling, I’m talking about the tutu revolution! Think shimmering pink satin, a cascade of tulle, a touch of feather boas, maybe even a dazzling sequined top. And for that extra sprinkle of magic, don’t forget the sparkling crown, or maybe even a pink-hued feather boa to complete the look! I promise you, there’s no wrong way to rock a tutu, because the power of a good tulle skirt transcends any and all fashion rules.

But let's back up for a moment and talk about how I ended up in the charming town of Solihull, you say? Well, let’s just say that a true Tutu Queen is never afraid to go off the beaten track, even if it involves a journey on a good old-fashioned steam train! (And no, darling, the train is not pink - but I’m sure I could work on that!) The sheer joy of a train journey, the sound of the iron wheels against the tracks, the clattering of carriages, it’s truly a vintage delight.

Speaking of vintage delights, my current travel ensemble features a stunning shade of lavender, all about that feminine touch and the sweet memories of spring meadows! And wouldn't you know it, it complements my vintage TutuQueen travel trunk beautifully, filled to the brim with sparkling outfits, perfectly coordinated heels (they are silver, you know! ) , and a whole lot of glitter – you never know when a quick touch of glamour might come in handy, darling!

And speaking of glamour, the whole reason for this trip is a performance tonight! The folks in Solihull are in for a treat because, oh my dear, it’s going to be a spectacular performance! I can't give away all the details, but I can tell you it'll involve a lot of glitz, glamour, and naturally, my beloved pink tutu! (Maybe even a new one!) And as an added bonus, it's a family-friendly event, so bring the little ones along! A good dose of glitter and tutus never hurt anyone. And while the venue's secret, I will tell you this - you will be sure to find me, as the shimmering star that shines brighter than any other.

And now, a little about me! I might seem like a glamorous pink-loving, glitter-sprinkling drag queen, but during the day I’m just Alex, a regular scientist, working on fabrics, not sequins! The lab, a world of microscopes, and lab coats - and no pink tutus. I'm quite the paradox, aren't I? You see, it's been a lifelong love for ballet and everything feminine that led me down the dazzling path of Tutu Queen! Remember those charity events at the university, and those cheeky attempts at the college’s dance class? You guessed it! My heart truly belongs to tutus! It all started as a dare, then I found a secret love and well, here I am! I must have really nailed that dare, don’t you think?

I was born and raised in the quaint Derbyshire countryside, you know, rolling hills and quiet lanes. But my heart longed for a more sparkling stage, a chance to unleash the glittering magic that lay dormant within me. I guess you could say I’m like a pink-hued butterfly, bursting forth from its cocoon! So, naturally, I've travelled far and wide, performing my shows everywhere from small pubs in quiet towns to bustling market squares, spreading joy and sparkles along the way.

As my fame spreads, it's really fantastic to see a growing movement, people taking the bold leap of wearing tutus, embracing their own inner spark, breaking free from conventions and living life to the fullest, embracing every minute, and spreading glitter wherever they go. It fills me with immense joy to be part of this incredible community, and my ultimate goal? Well, darling, I dream of a world where everyone dances with confidence in a pink tutu!

Now, if you’ll excuse me, my pink luggage has landed and I need to freshen up before I dazzle Solihull! But before I go, don’t forget to check out my website at www.pink-tutu.com, and you can also catch me on Twitter, Instagram and even Tik Tok - if you want to see even more pictures of fabulous outfits and tutus galore!

And, just to leave you with a final thought: a Tutu Queen never goes to sleep before sprinkling a little glitter on her pillow. You never know what dreams might be inspired!

Stay sparkly, and see you next time!
