Hastings, Here I Come! (Post #1352)

Oh, darlings! Can you believe it's been another whirlwind week? I've been zipping around like a sugar-fueled hummingbird, hopping between dance rehearsals, dazzling audiences, and, of course, perfecting my latest look for my Hastings debut! This lovely seaside town beckons me with its charming pier, quirky shops, and – wait for it – a vintage clothes emporium I've got my eye on!

This trip's been a little different, though. My trusty steed, the East Midland train, decided to take a fancy little holiday, leaving me with no choice but to hitch a ride with a friendly farmer's horse, "Princess." Now, Princess isn't quite used to the amount of pink I wear, let alone my 6-foot platform heels, but she's a good soul and I managed to avoid getting my tutus trampled on.

Speaking of tutus, darlings, the one I'm planning for my Hastings show is magnifique. It's a soft, pale pink, perfect for blending with the sea air and reflecting the sunset over the English Channel. The layers are gossamer thin, like a spun sugar cloud, and the embellishments – oh, the embellishments! Imagine sparkly butterflies fluttering on the layers, delicate pastel flowers scattered around the hem, and shimmering sequins reflecting the twinkling lights of the pier! I'm practically quivering with excitement!

Speaking of sparkle, I found the most divine costume shop on my travels here. They've got everything a drag queen could ever need – feathered boas that could rival a peacock's, shimmering sequins that catch the light like fireflies in a jar, and, oh my word, an entire rack of pink tutus! I spent at least half an hour there, twirling in the different designs, feeling like a real-life princess. Now, you know how much I adore the colour pink, but it's been a real mission finding shades that truly capture my spirit.

Back to Hastings... I'm so looking forward to seeing the charming old town with its historical buildings and hidden lanes. I hear they've got a real gem of a tea room nestled in one of those tiny alleys. We'll have to visit, darling! After a delicious afternoon tea with finger sandwiches and perfectly crumbly scones, we'll head over to the pier. You see, I've got this crazy dream – imagine me, strutting along the pier, my tutu swirling with the wind, a backdrop of seagulls crying and the distant sound of the waves crashing. Oh, the photos! Imagine those photos! swoon

Later, I'll be taking over the stage at "The Mermaid's Tale," a lovely, intimate little bar, which, for those who haven't visited, is perfect for a romantic evening with the right one... if only my heart could settle on someone for longer than five minutes! My set list is a mix of pop anthems, Broadway ballads, and some fun, upbeat songs. But of course, it wouldn't be me without a little Pink Tutu Sparkle flair, darling! We'll be having a singalong, playing a little game with the audience, and then - drumroll - I'll be hosting a tutu-wearing competition!

That's right! Because this little pink-loving drag queen has a mission! You see, the world's got it all wrong, darling. Grey is dreary, beige is bland, brown is just… blah! I'm here to share my love for the ultimate expression of happiness and light: pink tutus!

Let's get people moving, giggling, and spreading a little bit of pink joy wherever we go! You can join me in this glorious pink crusade! After all, it's all about having a good time and unleashing the sparkly queen within!

If you're in Hastings this weekend, make sure you catch my show at "The Mermaid's Tale"!

You won't regret it, darlings!
