Hiya darlings, it’s your fave tutu-wearing gal, Pink Tutu Sparkles, here, reporting live from sunny Rochester! I mean, it’s England, so maybe “sunny” is a bit optimistic, but still, the energy here is fab! 💖
This is post number 1397 for you lovely lot, and you’ll never believe it, I’m so excited to tell you about this trip! This whole thing feels like a fairytale… or at least, a musical number! 🩰
It all started with a cheeky request from my favourite local fair - the annual Rochester Corn Exchange Bonanza! They wanted a special act, a showstopper, and you know what? They chose moi. This girl’s got that spark, darlings! 💃🏻
I’ll tell you what, my heart went pitter-patter like a hummingbird's wings when they called. I live for fairs - that classic British festival vibe, all the people, the music, the FOOD… (oh, the food!) 🌭🎡 It was a chance to bring the joy, the laughter, and of course, my dazzling tutu! ✨
So, here I am in the heart of Kent! We traveled overnight on a gloriously scenic train journey - let’s just say, even the carriages looked fabulous. And of course, I sported my new floral-print tutu that was just begging for a picture. You can check out the photo on my Insta – @PinkTutuSparkle, duh. 😎
When I reached the bustling station, it was almost surreal! The air was thick with that wonderful carnival energy – laughter, music, even the whiff of roasted nuts and candyfloss in the air… pure magic, darlings!
And I’ve been in the city all day, soaking it up! I must admit, I can’t resist a spot of retail therapy, so a trip to the Rochester High Street was a must! It’s chock-full of lovely boutiques and antique shops, not to mention a shop devoted to, wait for it, tutus! You bet I bought some goodies! 😍
And of course, I’m doing what I do best - spreading the pink tutu gospel! It’s amazing to see so many people embracing it! I even spotted a granny rocking a little pink tulle around her handbag! Talk about inspiring, darlings. 💖
Tomorrow, the big event! I’m going to wow everyone with my newest act – think ‘Les Mis’ meets ‘Twinkle Twinkle Little Star,’ with a dash of sparkle. The show will be spectacular – even my trusty old teddy bear, Sir Reginald, has agreed to make a special appearance! 🐻
But before the show, it wouldn't be right to visit Rochester without checking out the famous cathedral, right? They say it's one of the oldest in the country, so I had to get some snaps of its impressive architecture! (I have the most spectacular pics for my next Insta post! Get ready to be wowed!) ✨
But what I really wanted to do was get a bit more insight into its history. Did you know there used to be a Tudor manor house nearby, right next to the river Medway? And later, in the 16th Century, they even turned the whole place into an elegant town house. Fancy that! It's incredible how things have changed over the years. 🏘️
Now, you know me, I love my ballet - the grace, the elegance, the music… all of it! So, the next day, I found a fab ballet class in the city. Talk about a great workout - I'm ready to tackle that show now! 💪🩰

It’s going to be an explosion of colour, movement, and of course, that iconic pink! My ensemble is truly breathtaking - a gorgeous shimmering gown (with an abundance of sparkles, naturally!), and of course, a tutu that's almost too fabulous to describe! And let’s not forget about the hair and make-up - oh, the glamour! ✨
