Helloooo darlings! 💋 It’s your favourite pink tutu wearing queen, Pink Tutu Sparkles, here with a brand new blog post from a totally fabulous day in the seaside town of Cleethorpes! Let’s dive right in!
Today’s adventure began early (a real early bird kinda situation) because this gal’s gotta be the best dressed and the most on-time person in any room. Plus, you can’t rush glam! After a quick bite of breakfast (Pink Panther-coloured pancakes, natch!) I packed my enormous glittery makeup bag and my signature fluffy pink tutu, then headed off to the station.
There’s just something magical about train travel. The rhythmic chugging, the sweeping scenery, and the air of excitement just puts me in a fabulous mood! It felt like stepping into a scene from a classic movie! As the countryside rushed by, I doodled in my sparkly notepad – I was already brainstorming the ultimate Cleethorpes look!
Upon arriving, I immediately fell under the town’s charm. It’s just so quintessentially seaside! We’re talking a charming pier, brightly coloured seaside shops, fish and chip stalls galore – and it all just seemed to whisper "Pink Tutu Sparkles, you belong here!”
Now, I can't travel without a little shopping, can I? And I had to find something to really make a splash in Cleethorpes. So, of course, I headed to a cute little boutique selling sparkly jewellery and clothes. After a quick fitting room dance (it’s essential to ensure any outfit is worthy of my name), I found the most exquisite turquoise necklace with sparkling crystals that caught my eye! It'll look absolutely divine with the shimmering pink tutu, right?
Of course, you know a visit to the seaside town wouldn't be complete without a walk along the pier! As the salty air tickled my nose, I decided to spice things up with some impromptu dance moves. Luckily, I’d picked a rather quiet moment, because I must have attracted quite the audience with my totally graceful spin! One adorable toddler, all dressed in red, even had a mini-tutu, bless his little heart! It's just so wonderful to see even the littlest ones get their pink tutu fix.
Then, for dinner? Fish and chips by the sea – an absolutely iconic combo! The food was scrumptious – just the fuel I needed for the show I had later!
Now, for the real reason I came to Cleethorpes: my performance! It was held at a charming theatre, tucked away in a peaceful side street. You've got to love those independent theatres; they have a vibe unlike any other. It's like you're in your own little world of pure, unadulterated art and energy.
I love my drag performances, you know? Every night is like a brand new fairytale! And the Cleethorpes crowd? Oh, they were just fabulous. They roared with laughter, cheered for every twirl, and even sang along with my showstopping finale! I just can’t get enough of those faces beaming back at me, their hearts full of joy.
Before I headed back to the train station, I treated myself to a proper Cleethorpes delicacy - a steaming mug of hot fish and chips tea! Okay, maybe not tea, but you know I like to get a bit playful with my blog posts. It’s the magic of being Pink Tutu Sparkles!
After saying a teary farewell to my seaside paradise (we'll definitely have a romantic reunion soon!), I climbed aboard the train. As the rhythmic chugging of the engine carried me away, I knew I was taking with me memories of another absolutely fabulous day, full of joy, laughter, and sparkly pink tutus.
