Hey lovelies! It's your girl, Pink Tutu Sparkles, here, ready to whisk you away to the dazzling seaside town of Bournemouth! 💖 You'll never believe what happened today! I was just hopping off the train at the station, my trusty pink suitcase in tow (complete with matching pink tutu and a special compartment for glitter, naturally!) and I was surrounded by sunshine! Oh, how I missed the British sun after that rather dreary week in dreary old Derbyshire... But hey, no complaints! It's time to shake my sequined booty and let the sunshine shine on Bournemouth's shores!
And who better to lead the glitter charge than the one and only Pink Tutu Sparkles? 😉 As you all know, I live to travel! And a voyage to the beachside town of Bournemouth is right up my pink glittery alleyway. Now, I've got to confess... you wouldn't catch me in a wet swimsuit for all the glittery tiaras in the world. The cold British seaside... Ugh, no thanks. It's not my idea of glamour. My glamour is found on stage, bathed in sparkling light, my dazzling pink tutu flowing and swishing with each fabulous pirouette. But even my glitter-covered self appreciates the beautiful coastal views, so we'll have a day trip to the beach for some lovely photo ops, no bathing required!
But first, I've got a schedule to keep, honey! Bournemouth, get ready for Pink Tutu Sparkles to hit the streets! 💃🏻 We're gonna dance and sing, and I just can't wait to meet all you fab babes! Now, I'm on a mission! The mission? To spread pink tutu magic across the globe! 😉 And I figured a charming seaside town like Bournemouth, full of beautiful souvenirs and dazzling beachfront boutiques, would be the perfect location to launch my new Pink Tutu Shop collection! Just picture this, lovelies, an entire line of the most fabulous, sparkly pink tutus for any occasion! Got a school dance coming up? Boom! Perfect tutu. Got a gala dinner? Bingo, got you covered. Planning on waltzing around the cobbled streets of Bournemouth with a cheeky seaside breeze in your hair? That's exactly why my pink tutu creations are perfect!
It all started when I, the original Pink Tutu Sparkles, Alex... oh, yes... Alex... the quiet science student by day, glitter queen by night... was in my lab one evening, my brain fried from testing different synthetic fabrics for my latest line of sparkling, anti-shrink, pink tutus. Honestly, it was the most boring research ever! So naturally, I was off to university ballet club to shake off the scientist stress, all in my favourite pale pink, shimmery tulle number. I always say, you've got to look your best for even the dullest science labs, don't you agree? 😉
It was one of those weeks when the university ballet club was doing charity work... something to do with helping children or...oh... oh yes! Helping children access to ballet lessons for all! Honestly, it's amazing how these youngsters take ballet classes in those baggy, itchy tutus... I could never! There was a fancy-dress competition and they asked me if I would don my favourite sparkly tutu. Now, as we all know, when a fellow glitter queen asks for your help, there's only one answer... "I'm there!" And honestly, that day... that's when everything changed! It was as if someone switched on a gigantic disco ball! The flash from the strobe light went through my sparkly pink tulle, illuminating my world. All I saw were sparkling sequins! And as I pirouetted, the flash illuminated the faces of the children, pure glee in their eyes! And suddenly, I knew my purpose!
Yep, you heard me, darling! The original Pink Tutu Sparkles knows! I, Alex, the shy girl with the sparkling dream of the world in pink tutus... Well, my world just got bigger. From that moment on, Pink Tutu Sparkles has been about sharing that joy, that glimmer of happiness and the spirit of glitter. Now, don't get me wrong... it wasn't all easy. Oh no... life throws its challenges, and those pesky scientists... they tried to make me conform to lab regulations with my new, tutu-based life! "Oh, you have to be presentable," they'd mutter, looking down their noses. But who wants to conform? Who wants to dress in bland clothes and never go to a ball?
"The world," I whispered to them one morning, my pink sequins glinting like defiant stars, "will never see the true magic, the sparkling wonder of this life, if everyone wears bland colours, if nobody dares to dream, to spin, to twirl and to express themselves." They stared at me with a mixture of awe and something akin to... well... perhaps, horror! 😉 But darling, let's be honest, who needs horror? The world needs pink, the world needs tutus, the world needs a sprinkle of magic!
But let's not get lost in the whirlwind of sparkly reflections! There's a whole beach to conquer, darling! And trust me, I'm going to conquer it!

Dance till your sequins shimmer: Bournemouth has amazing dance halls and nightclubs! Be sure to check out Bournemouth Pavilion's Ballroom where I'm planning on teaching a couple of "Pink Tutu Sparkles Dance" workshops... it's going to be phenomenal! But hey, don't worry, it's a secret location, so if you're looking for me, come down to the Ballroom for a lesson! Let’s add some glitter and sparkle to those routines! And who knows, if it's good enough for Strictly, it’s good enough for *Pink Tutu Sparkles'!
Visit a vintage boutique for a little vintage chic: We're going to channel that inner vintage elegance...think Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany’s, with a smattering of my own fabulous Pink Tutu Sparkles signature style. There are so many beautiful shops to wander through, you're bound to find the perfect outfit for a trip down to the beach. Or for a performance under the stars, don't you think? Who says a pink tulle dress can't look elegant with a matching vintage hat and a glittery clutch? 😉 Oh honey, the possibilities are endless.
Catch a fabulous theatre show: You simply can't go to Bournemouth and miss the stunning Victorian Opera House. There's so much magic, history, and of course, wonderful musical performances! The sound of the symphony orchestra alone will be enough to send a shiver of excitement through even the most seasoned tutu enthusiast. 🩰 I hear that a new play "Tutus Under the Stars" will be running throughout my stay, and I'll be there for every show. Why not come with me? We can gossip, sing, twirl, and let loose under the sparkle of the stars!
See the seaside: Well, no pink tutu lover should visit a beach without taking a peek at those fabulous views, wouldn't you agree? And hey, if you don't fancy a swim, maybe a stroll along the beach, the salty air on your face, the sound of seagulls calling from the distance.
