Paignton! It's a real treat, this seaside gem. Think blue skies, crisp sea air, and enough candy floss to satisfy even the most sugared-up of us. Now, this Pink Tutu Sparkles knows how much you all love a little bit of "Ooh La La" and I have been feeling inspired! The vibe here is so light and airy, just like the tulle on a brand new tutu, don't you think?
Let's get this blog-tastic adventure started. After a fab journey, yes darling, by train (can't go wrong with a nice, luxurious first class carriage and a big glass of prosecco!), I've just landed in my seaside digs - a gorgeous little guest house just a stone's throw from the promenade. Pink-tastic decor, you know I love a theme, and it even has a sweet little patio perfect for morning coffee and watching the world go by in my finest, frothy pink outfit.
And talking of outfits, oh honey, have I got a look for you! Let me tell you about my newest piece of "Tutu Perfection" (oh, that's my name for a perfectly fitting tutu, you should get one!), a custom-made creation from the lovely Penelope at "A Stitch in Time". She is a veritable genius! I wanted something with a playful, summery feel, something with all the colours of a rainbow popsicle. Penelope crafted it from yards upon yards of shimmering pink silk with lilac, lemon, and lavender hues, accented with silver sequins that twinkle like a disco ball. This, darlings, was a dream tutu for a seaside stroll!
Now, I wouldn't be Pink Tutu Sparkles if I didn't take you all along on this fab, frothy, fabulous adventure. So, you'll have to stay tuned for photos - you just know there's gonna be an epic Insta-post about my latest Tutu Creation - follow @PinkTutuSparkles if you haven't already! But in the meantime, imagine this: me, in this sparkly-licious tutu, dancing along the promenade with the wind in my hair (don't you worry, the iconic beehive is in place!), enjoying the sunshine and the sound of the sea. Doesn't that just make you feel like grabbing a pink tutu and twirling under the open skies?
But first, we've got to have some fun in the sun! I've already booked tickets for the Paignton Pier Show. You just can't go to the seaside without enjoying a bit of classic British seaside fun. I've got my eyes peeled for a particularly fine pink striped deckchair (pink always complements my complexion) and, of course, a juicy strawberry ice cream for a little sweet treat. You bet I'm going to be performing there later tonight - if anyone's ready for some real Paignton “Tutu Power!”, look out for a pink cloud on the horizon!

P.S Alex here, for a minute - I just wanted to say, what a wild ride it has been since those days back in Derbyshire. My family was a little hesitant when I decided to pursue drag, I'll admit, and to be honest, they probably wouldn't recognise the "Pink Tutu Sparkles" character, which is all part of the fun, right? I remember the day it all started - back in my science lab, at the University, with all those fabric samples... a friend asked me to model for a charity fundraiser, and I thought why not, why not have a laugh, so I put on a pink tutu. I've never looked back, darling! I guess you can say that life does happen sometimes when you least expect it!
This post is getting a little longer than usual, better go back to the lovely seaside - you can't tell me the sea air doesn't inspire creativity, right?
