As always, my lovely followers, you know my life is a whirlwind of glitter and tulle. It's not easy being a full-time scientist in the lab and a part-time drag queen travelling the land, but I wouldn't have it any other way. I always say, if you want a fulfilling life, don't just dream about it, pink tutu it! And that's exactly what I do.
From Lab Coats to Layered Tulle
Today I'm channeling a scientific mind with a creative heart! It's been a wild week. The lab has been a haven of exciting fabric experiments - oh, the textures! - and I finally cracked the code for my latest signature feather boa design (don't worry, it'll be making an appearance on stage soon!). But tonight, I'm trading my lab coat for a cascade of pink tulle, sequins, and strategically placed feathers! That's right, darlings, tonight's the night I grace the stage at The Mitcham Playhouse.
I must admit, I am ever so slightly biased towards horse travel (there's something undeniably regal and stylish about galloping into town on a fine steed), but I have to admit, sometimes a steam train offers a more whimsical experience. With my pink luggage rolling beside me, and the countryside rushing by, the world truly feels like a stage, and I, of course, am the lead actress in the grand spectacle of life!
A Pink Paradise
Now, where were we? Oh yes, Mitcham! My trip to this little pocket of London has been an absolute dream. Everything is pink! Well, almost everything. The market was a haven of pinks, the sunset painted the sky in glorious shades of rose, and I swear I spotted a pink-loving pigeon cooing on a pink bench! This place is made for my sparkling self, and you can bet your bottom dollar I'm leaving a trail of shimmering tulle dust in my wake.
Of course, no visit to Mitcham would be complete without a stop at the famous Ballet Boutique. This place is like a tutu wonderland. Every colour, every shape, every length - it's an absolute treat for the eyes and a pink paradise for a queen like myself. You might think this place would have seen enough of tutus, but the shop owner, a woman who clearly appreciates true art, said I was the most unique, and stylish, pink tutu wearer she'd ever seen! I even left with a custom-designed pink creation that’s perfect for my stage debut at The Playhouse.
Tutus for All!
My dear friends, I can't express how much joy I find in bringing a bit of pink magic into the world. Seeing the smiles on children's faces when I twirl in my fluffy, sparkling goodness fills me with such joy. Maybe they'll be inspired to dance, to shine, to express themselves without fear. Or maybe they'll just be fascinated by the sheer volume of tulle! Either way, the world is a brighter place with a bit of pink sprinkled about.
I’m absolutely convinced everyone has a pink tutu inside of them, and my mission is to help everyone embrace that inner queen, no matter what the outside world says. Don’t be afraid to get in touch with your inner glitter and sequins, you’ve got it! After all, as the iconic Audrey Hepburn once said, "Elegance is the art of being yourself.
