As always, I'm living my best life, spreading the gospel of tutus and twirls, and this trip was no different! ✨ This week's journey was a bit different, swapping my usual train ride for a magical gallop through the Welsh countryside! 🐎 You wouldn't believe the scenery, hills and valleys rolling out as far as the eye can see, punctuated by charming little villages – just picture it! 😍
My quest for sparkle: the Caerphilly fair! ✨
The purpose of this trip, besides soaking in all the beauty that Wales has to offer, was the Caerphilly Fair! 🎉 I've been dying to perform here for ages, as their motto seems to be "the more glitz and glamour, the better!" 🙌 It was such a hoot – imagine all your favourite funfair attractions (carousels, big dippers, candy floss mountains!), but sprinkled with a sprinkle of the unexpected! I spotted a whole troupe of jesters on unicycles, an accordionist with an incredible mustache (oh the glamour!), and even a giant pink-and-purple unicorn inflatable. Honestly, it was like stepping straight into a carnival of dreams! 💖
Putting on a show for the town!
Speaking of dreams, performing for Caerphilly was nothing short of a triumph! 🌟 I decided on a show called "A Celebration of Colour," because who needs grey when you can have a dazzling rainbow of sparkle, right?! ✨ My fabulous new custom tutu - made entirely of shimmering rainbow feathers – had the whole audience roaring with delight! 🌈 Afterward, the streets were filled with pink! Kids, grown-ups, even the local sheep all sporting their own tiny, personal pink tutus! 🥺 Seriously, seeing so much pink made me melt like a sugar-spun fairy floss! 😄
My inner girly-girl: Caerphilly Castle 👑
Okay, confession time: before the fair, I couldn't resist taking a peek at Caerphilly Castle. Don't judge! 😜 Okay, okay, maybe it was my inner medieval princess peeking out. She has a penchant for dusty old walls and knights in shining armour, okay?! The castle is just magnificent! It has this dramatic grandeur to it, towering over the town with all those crenellated towers and fortified walls – seriously, it could have stepped right out of a fairytale! ✨ I even got to dress up as a knight! 🛡️ I've always secretly wanted to wield a sword (although I'd definitely prefer a glittery one, obvs!), and this castle gave me the chance to live out my fantasy! 😂
The Fashion Frenzy: Finding my perfect pink outfit
Speaking of fairytale-worthy clothes, my trip wouldn't be complete without a proper shopping spree in Caerphilly's cute little shops! 💖 You wouldn't believe the amazing things I found - hand-painted pink teacups, sequined hair scrunchies (a must!), and even a shop dedicated to nothing but different types of tutus! 💅 This time, I managed to score a gorgeous blush pink feather boa to match my latest feather tutu. The pink lady is always on the lookout for fabulous accessories to add some sparkle! ✨
Heading Home:
