Today, I'm whisking you all away to Leighton Buzzard. Just think, my darlings, a journey by steam train (a dash of romanticism, if you will) or a spirited jaunt atop a majestic steed (with a fabulous floral headpiece for good measure!), all culminating in the most fabulous show! You betcha, my lovelies! 💕
And you've just GOT to see my fabulous new pink tutu for this tour! 🦩 I’ve been working on this with my tailor and dear friend, Penelope (bless her cotton socks), for months, and it is simply spectacular, with a generous splash of shimmer, an abundance of ruffles, and a most darling bow just peeking at the back. It's perfect for twirling! 😉
As you know, my dear loves, Leighton Buzzard has a bit of a reputation for its… er, charm, let's say. It's definitely a little more "olde worlde" than my usual stomping ground. But who am I to judge? There's something absolutely delightful about quaint cafes, little shops bursting with charm, and those lovely, friendly faces you just don't see so often in London, wouldn't you say? 🥰
Let's rewind, shall we?
Before the fabulous arrival in Leighton Buzzard, you know I had to prep. I packed up my fabulous sparkly case with the essential accoutrements for a Pink Tutu Sparkles show. I simply HAVE to be a vision! 💕 We're talking the best of pink, sparkly, high-heeled shoes, a sprinkle of glam with my signature eyeliner and a pink lip to die for (trust me, darlings, even a seasoned Pink Tutu Sparkles requires a touch of magic). My trusty tutu and that special sparkle hairspray, too. And darling, how could I possibly forget that perfect pink feather boa, to create a true windswept vision on stage?
After all that prepping, I simply couldn't resist stopping in to a little boutique. You know, just to "inspect" their collection of sequins, darling! I mean, how else could I ensure I have all the essentials for a good time in Leighton Buzzard? ✨
But darling, before I even unpacked my glitter-infused luggage, I decided I simply HAD to visit a proper tea room! Now, this isn't a proper show without a little afternoon tea. 🍰 It was the perfect stop for a proper gossip about all the amazing plans for the weekend.
With my tea and gossip behind me, it was time to start exploring! It’s no surprise, darling, that Leighton Buzzard has a magnificent history of its own, filled with secret gardens and historical gems. 🌷 You can’t travel anywhere, lovelies, without immersing yourself in the history and beauty. Let’s face it, what would a proper adventure be without it?
Oh my goodness, the gardens here are absolutely sublime, all neat rows of blossoming lavender and the fragrance of fresh roses drifting on the breeze. It was so relaxing, darling! Almost TOO relaxing! 😄 The calmness would probably tempt even the most restless of souls into a daydream.
Well, darling, all that tranquility can't last forever! The real highlight was of course the ballet! You see, I adore the beauty and elegance of a well-executed arabesque or the breathtakingly athletic leaps of a professional. They inspire me, help me to express myself with grace, and encourage me to explore more expressive and exciting techniques within my own shows! It's just magic. ✨
Tonight's performance is in the magnificent town hall, just bursting with that charming old-fashioned brilliance! And darling, it was packed! Everyone there ready to welcome me in with such a joyous warmth - it was magical, I tell you!
My heart swelled as I looked out over the audience, so full of laughter and excitement. Seeing those delighted smiles was the best reward I could ask for. 💕 The best part of what I do is getting the chance to brighten people's day with a little touch of sparkle and pink!
Let me tell you, the town was abuzz tonight. I certainly made a bit of an impression! Not one of them was prepared for a pink tutu, I tell you! (As always, my lovely darlings!) 😜 I saw all those little kids' eyes widen in amazement, and then they would gasp and give the most charming "Woohoo!" I could have stood there and done it all night, honestly, I had such fun. 💕
After all the excitement, I finally had the chance to settle in. The locals here are wonderful! Everyone I've met has been so warm and welcoming. And what's better than enjoying a delicious plate of local food? 😋 A good home-cooked meal after all the dancing and laughter was a perfect end to a busy day!
But don't forget, a true Pink Tutu Sparkles performance, darling, is never just a show! I like to think it's a journey, an experience, a whole event! 💖 A show, an adventure, and an immersion into everything fabulous about life. What's better than combining a performance, some delicious treats, and new experiences, in the perfect pink package? 😜
I had to stay at the most adorable B&B I've ever seen in my life! Think pastel pink walls with dainty roses and a chandelier sparkling brighter than a thousand stars. I simply couldn't resist a photo opportunity in the mirror in the bathroom. ✨ You'll have to catch the full snap in my upcoming Instagram story, my darlings. It’s simply DIVINE.
I can’t forget about those little surprises, those special moments, my lovelies, those extra bits of magic that you just can't predict! You know, like a perfect conversation with a stranger or an impromptu trip to a quaint vintage store, full of wonderful things from a bygone era. 🛍️
I had to pick up the cutest pink hair scrunchies in Leighton Buzzard for a dear friend (the colour pink never goes out of fashion! You'll be seeing it at next week's shows, my darlings!) and a little, teeny-tiny teacup for myself because - well, how can a Queen resist such a treasure? 😄 It was too sweet!
You'd think I wouldn’t have any space in my luggage, darlings, but every extra inch was filled with memories, love, and laughter! And, my lovelies, the best part of a trip, my darlings, is always the return journey. Just thinking about all the next adventures and performances waiting to be filled with fun! 🤸
