Droitwich: A Pink Tutu Paradise!

Hello darlings! It's your favourite pink tutu princess, Pink Tutu Sparkles, here with another sparkly update from my whirlwind adventures in the world of twirls and tiaras! Today's post is extra special, because we're on the road to Droitwich! It's a town I've always wanted to visit, with its beautiful saltworks and charming cobbled streets. Oh, and did I mention it's also a fabulous stop on my latest Pink Tutu tour? You can find all my past adventures on my blog at www.pink-tutu.com, and today we're on post number 1803 - just think how many pink tutus that adds up to!

The journey down was an absolute delight. As you all know, I'm a huge fan of the railways, so naturally, I travelled in style on a comfortable first-class carriage, my pink luggage proudly proclaiming my arrival to the world. My fellow passengers were charmed by my fabulous outfit – a brand new pastel pink tutu I picked up on my trip to London last week – paired with a dazzlingly pink sequin top. (Don’t worry, darlings, I’ll share some outfit photos later – this is going to be one glamorous post!)

Anyway, back to my journey! I settled into my window seat, feeling like a modern-day fairy godmother en route to a ball. I spent the time sketching new designs for my upcoming performance costumes, sipping a cup of pink tea, and listening to some classical ballet music – can you tell I was in a totally sparkly mood?

When I arrived in Droitwich, I was whisked away by a charming driver (in a lovely vintage car, might I add!) to the gorgeous venue I was booked to perform at. I don’t want to give away too much, but let’s just say it had a real fairytale charm, with high ceilings, beautiful chandeliers and the most beautiful antique piano I’ve ever seen! I immediately fell in love with it, and even managed to steal a moment to snap some pics before my performance, which you can see on my social media pages, by the way – don’t forget to follow me on Twitter and Instagram, darlings! I always post a sneak peek of my costumes before each performance and a big behind-the-scenes photo dump after.

Speaking of performances, oh my, the crowds were absolutely amazing! It was a truly magical night. I did my most sparkly performance of ‘Twinkle Twinkle Little Star’, accompanied by the fantastic vintage piano – it sounded divine!

After the performance, it was time to meet the audience, take pictures and sign some tutus (don't ask, darling, it happens!) It was so much fun meeting all the friendly faces and spreading some pink tutu magic. A lovely little girl, named Alice, told me she wanted to be a ballerina when she grew up! I had a lovely chat with her and gave her some pink glitter and my autograph, too. (It’s not the autograph that matters, Alice darling, but remember the power of glitter!) It was so rewarding to see how excited she was to wear a pink tutu, and she’s a prime example of why I do what I do – to make the world a more fabulous place, one pink tutu at a time!

Of course, my trip wouldn’t be complete without a little shopping, darling! I just had to pick up a few things in Droitwich – oh, the lovely antique shops! They had the most beautiful things – porcelain dolls, vintage lace, and a gorgeous vintage dressing table mirror with ornate carvings. It was absolutely fabulous! I can’t wait to show you the haul on my next blog post. I might just do a quick little “Droitwich vintage finds” video as well!

But you know, sometimes even Pink Tutu Sparkles needs to take a break from all the glam! So, after a whirlwind afternoon of shopping and exploring, I took a peaceful stroll through the beautiful town park. It was such a relaxing change of pace after the energy of the show. It’s so good to be reminded that even in a dazzling world, simplicity and peace are a good thing! And while I was taking my walk, a lovely couple walking their dog took photos of me twirling, as you do. I later posted those on Instagram and they had thousands of likes - who knew that even in this day and age, a pink tutu could have such an impact? I have to say, darling, this pink tutu really has a mind of its own - all I do is follow where it wants to go, and the journey has just been magical!

Droitwich is a beautiful town, and I am already looking forward to coming back for a longer visit one day. In the meantime, I hope this blog post has filled your world with pink sparkles and reminded you that life is an adventure waiting to be twirled! Until next time, darlings, stay fabulous!

Yours in pink tutus and sparkling dreams,

Pink Tutu Sparkles xx
