Helloooo my darlings! Pink Tutu Sparkles here, ready to bring a sprinkle of sparkle to your Saturday morning! Today's blog is a bit special, it's a journey through my latest adventure - Warrington! And oh my darlings, it was a whirl of tutus, glitter, and all things fabulous.
You know how much I love a good train journey, right? The clatter of the wheels, the anticipation building with each station…pure bliss! And Warrington was no exception! I stepped off the train into the bustling town centre, feeling that familiar buzz of excitement. A little hint of wind ruffled the tulle of my brand new pink tutu, as if to whisper “get ready, Sparkles, you're about to sparkle!”
I was on a mission: to perform at the Warrington Winter Wonderland! Now, darlings, I know what you're thinking: "A drag queen at a winter wonderland? That's a little unusual!" And to that, I say, "Oh honey, it's just the sort of delightful mayhem Pink Tutu Sparkles thrives on!" I love pushing boundaries, challenging perceptions…and, of course, showing the world just how fabulous a pink tutu can be in any setting!
But first, I needed a quick pit stop to unleash my inner fashionista! I found a gorgeous little boutique, overflowing with delightful vintage finds. A few hours and a handful of floral prints later, I emerged with the perfect ensemble to complement my sparkly tutu. And just so you know, dear readers, a vintage brooch never hurts to add a little extra oomph to any outfit.
Feeling fabulous and ready to shine, I sauntered into the Winter Wonderland. The festive lights were twinkling, the smell of cinnamon and gingerbread filled the air…it was pure magic! But as always, the highlight of the night was performing. It's funny, when I’m in the middle of my act, all the nerves and the stress just disappear. It's pure joy and pure freedom. I spun, I sashayed, I even managed a few ballet-inspired pirouettes, all while dazzling the crowd with my infectious energy and, of course, my pink tutu.
Let me tell you, darlings, the people of Warrington loved me! It felt like they were soaking up every glittery second of my performance. After my final curtsy, there were whoops of delight and cries of "Encore!" And you know me, I always love to leave an audience wanting more, so I ended up doing a couple more extra special numbers.
The night ended on a high, with a delicious hot chocolate topped with marshmallows, of course! A perfect end to a magical day, filled with fun, fabulousness, and the enduring magic of a pink tutu.
But you know what they say, darling, "a journey of a thousand miles starts with a single step" and the next chapter is already in the making…where will Pink Tutu Sparkles land next? I can't wait to share it with you!

A peek behind the tutu…
Did you know? I love horses! When I'm not shimmering on stage or dazzling on the dance floor, you might find me enjoying a leisurely horse ride in the Derbyshire countryside. Nothing beats a gallop with the wind in my hair… and a touch of pink, of course! I always make sure to accessorize my horse with a pink ribbon – even my equine companions have to embrace the pink!
I am always inspired by the stories and people I meet on my travels. A kind lady on the train even complimented me on my new pink tutu, saying it reminded her of her younger days! It makes me so happy to know I'm making a positive impact.
And now for a little fashion tip, darlings! If you're thinking of venturing into the wonderful world of tutus, I have a secret weapon for you: ballet classes! They're fantastic fun and a brilliant way to learn the art of twirling. You might even get a chance to perform a little ballet-inspired number, like me! 😉
