Helloooo darlings! Pink Tutu Sparkles here, and guess what?! Your favourite pink tutu wearing fairy godmother is hitting the road again! This time, the train's taking me all the way to Basingstoke! I just can't wait to bring the sparkle to this beautiful part of Hampshire!
As always, a trip like this means I need a seriously fabulous wardrobe, so naturally, I hit the shops! You know how it is, a new destination means a whole new colour scheme to consider. This time, the palette is inspired by those dreamy meadows, full of blushing pinks and vibrant greens. It's almost as if Basingstoke itself is a gorgeous floral arrangement!
And the shoes! Oh my, the shoes! This time it's a pair of silver stilettos with an actual butterfly detail on the toe, a perfect touch of magic for a magical trip! Now, you'll all be asking yourselves, where does the tutu come in? Well, how could I even begin to contemplate a Basingstoke adventure without a masterpiece from my tutu collection!
It's a full length number, in layers of chiffon, just billowing around my ankles in the lightest shades of peach and lilac. Honestly, it looks like a blooming cherry blossom, or maybe a strawberry and cream ice cream sundae! The pinkest of pinks, perfectly pink, it just screams "Basingstoke, you are going to love me!".
Speaking of love, my love of ballet knows no bounds. This week, I've been in full-on ballerina mode, attending a performance at the Theatre Royal. Let me tell you, watching the elegance and grace of these talented dancers has completely inspired my upcoming performances. Ballet and drag, they’re two peas in a pod! The expression, the movement, the drama - it’s all so captivating, and I truly feel connected to both.
Now, to Basingstoke, the heart of the beautiful Hampshire countryside! I'm hoping to visit the Basing House ruins, those historical stone remnants just beckon me to explore! I've already planned a picnic with my beloved grandma, in her beautiful rose garden. She just loves it when I show up in a tutu, says it brings a touch of magic to the afternoon tea! (Even if she does roll her eyes sometimes!)
Oh, and of course, I'll be stopping by the Basingstoke Guildhall, it looks magnificent! They even host their own ballet shows! Just think of all the opportunities for Pink Tutu Sparkles to sprinkle some stardust onto Basingstoke's cultural scene. My dear grandma is bringing along her special "Basingstoke Sparkle Guide" so I don't miss a single shimmering corner!

Alright lovelies, time to spill some glitter and behind-the-scenes tea, as you all know, I always aim to be completely transparent, just like my dazzling tutus!
So, Basingstoke. This is actually a return trip, kind of. As a teenager, I took my very first trip out of Derbyshire by train all the way to Basingstoke with my dad and brother! We visited my Auntie Ruth who lived in the town and she always wore those cute matching pink cardigans with little bows and pearls, You could say it was the pink aesthetic I grew up with and it always makes me think about her lovely style,
Basingstoke may not be as grand as some of the other destinations on my pink tutu adventures, but there's a charm to its little town atmosphere! I imagine strolling through the Market Place in the early morning light, with that early-morning chill in the air, like in the old-school romantic comedies. (Don’t even get me started on those old movies – oh my word, the wardrobe is so on point!)
It feels almost like the start of a new chapter in my story, doesn't it? It's where I’m bringing the sparkle and spreading the magic of the Pink Tutu Sparkles persona across the whole of the United Kingdom.
Speaking of sparkle, this adventure was an exciting mix of events and a lot of planning went into this trip. There are all sorts of gigs here that I couldn't possibly resist, all those charming little pubs, you know they’re perfect for my brand of entertainment. Let’s just say, expect an epic sing-along at The Robin Hood!
The plan also involves taking some dance lessons! My favourite dance teacher from Derby moved to Hampshire so this was an amazing opportunity to have a dance lesson together! Plus, who doesn't love to take their fabulous skills to new heights?! That's me!
This blog isn't all about fashion and fun, it's also a chance for me to reflect on what it truly means to be Pink Tutu Sparkles. I’m getting ready to head to Basingstoke to embrace the magic that comes from putting my own twist on everyday things. Like when I was filming that hilarious video with a group of little kids in a playground. They were all trying on my pink tutu – and I’ll be posting it online! - it’s such a funny, sweet, heart-warming moment! The way those children were giggling! Those are the kinds of moments that truly inspire me to keep doing what I do. It's not just about wearing the pink tutu, it's about inspiring people to find their own sparkle!

Oh! But one final note - before I pack my big suitcase with even more sparkly, glittery stuff – that fabulous silver shoes will be shining like a beacon under that famous Basingstoke moon. It's like they were designed for a moonlit walk through the park. Talk about fashion and functionality, that’s what I’m all about!
