Paignton… it's like a little seaside paradise tucked away in Devon, brimming with that quintessentially English charm. The air was crisp and salty, just the way I like it, and the sun was doing a lovely job of showing off the sparkling sea. Honestly, the entire place was a visual treat. You'd think I was a total tourist, taking snaps every five minutes. Well, you’re right, I was. Who could resist? I mean, the vibrant seaside town was practically screaming for my attention! And don’t even get me started on the delicious sea air, the cobbled streets, and those adorable seaside cottages - I felt like I'd stepped into a Victorian postcard.
Now, darling, you know my obsession with travel, particularly by train, and oh boy, did I have a wonderful train ride down from Derbyshire! We had a proper steam train, which made me feel like a Victorian princess! I must admit, a small part of me yearned to step out and grab some daffodils from the passing fields and place them into a pink velvet bucket, you know, for the aesthetic, but that might be a tad much even for Pink Tutu Sparkles. Oh darling, I might even be able to swing a trip on the famous steam train line at Dartmouth and come up with some wonderful travel-inspired posts! Think Pink Tutu Sparkles meets Emily Post in 19th-century Devon, but with more sequins and tulle.
Speaking of which, I've had a busy day, shopping, of course! No visit to Paignton would be complete without a trip to the bustling market, where I discovered the most fabulous pink silk scarf! The colors and pattern screamed "Pink Tutu Sparkles!", so obviously, I snagged it before anyone else could. I am going to add it to my upcoming London show outfits – I am talking London's West End, darling! Just wait, we're going to knock the audiences off their feet.
I spent a wonderful evening on the promenade. Paignton’s promenade is a delight with so much history. What a gorgeous location to soak in the views and grab a delicious ice cream, don't you think? But, my lovelies, here is where things got truly divine... Imagine my utter delight at seeing a small troupe of young dancers, a true delight to watch, rehearsing their routine on the seafront, near the majestic, century-old pier! Talk about a pinch-me-I-must-be-dreaming moment, and this girl was all ready to snap some photos. The sheer joy and passion of these young souls, twirling under the bright seaside sky, moved me to tears, really, my heart was dancing!
Oh my, dear readers, how I yearned to take the stage myself. Thankfully I will get that chance in this little slice of heaven tomorrow evening, when I take the stage at The Globe Theatre! It's a fabulous venue in a lovely, old hotel, I absolutely adore how old buildings ooze a timeless elegance, the perfect setting to flaunt the divine magic of Pink Tutu Sparkles.
