#TutuQueen: Boston, Bejewelled!

Blog post number 1905

Darling! You know what makes a good day? A morning at the ballet, an afternoon spent scouring for sparkly new outfits and a fab performance at a venue bursting with fabulous friends. That's precisely how I've been living life in Boston this week! And oh my gosh, what a treat it's been. This little ol' city is brimming with the pink-tutu-loving spirit I adore!

You know I don't get to travel quite as much as I'd love, but that's why these little trips are so extra special! And there's just something so charming about arriving by train! I have a weakness for journeys that chug along, allow for dreamy views, and time to peruse a book or two in my signature pink reading case. Speaking of pink, my gorgeous pink, sparkly suitcase had eyes on it all the way from Derbyshire! Honestly, it was like I'd brought a slice of the happiest colour to the railway carriages!

Now, let me tell you a little secret! My latest pink tulle fascination? Boston Ballet. Those exquisite dancers make every move look effortless. The sheer joy they bring to every pirouette, the graceful leaps – it's sheer poetry in motion! The other night, I sat mesmerised by the ethereal elegance of Giselle. Their ethereal grace almost put my pink tutus to shame, if you can imagine such a thing! You could say I left with my heart overflowing with a deep passion for both pink and pirouettes!

Shopping in Boston? Now, let's just say that my pockets were feeling the pinch afterwards! You see, those fabulously glittery fabrics, those gorgeous accessories… it's a veritable pink wonderland, let me tell you! I discovered a little vintage store bursting with pink silk gloves that'll definitely make my next costume spectacular. Don't worry, I’m going to post pics on my www.pink-tutu.com site – just as soon as I’ve figured out the best way to model them! (It'll be glamorous, darling!)

Speaking of performance, well, I had a brilliant night down at "The Ballroom." Now, that venue's a real gem - intimate, friendly and overflowing with a fun crowd. The audience just loved it! They were clapping along to all my routines and even had me sing a little. Well, after an impromptu request from a young lad dressed in a gorgeous green, glittery shirt, how could I resist?!

But I can't mention Boston without mentioning "The Green Dragon!" This quaint pub is positively a treasure trove of history and character. And oh, those ales! So many fabulous flavors and a whole heap of charm - you really need to add this one to your itinerary.

You see, darling, I'm finding this is a truly fascinating city that embraces creativity and joy. They even have these incredible outdoor markets with all sorts of delights. I bought the most beautiful pink and purple tulips and just the sight of them is filling my Boston hotel room with happiness!

All this excitement about pink, dance and glittery fabrics brings me back to what's really important. My journey isn’t just about chasing fun (though, darling, let's not pretend, it’s definitely a major factor!), but about spreading my little bit of joy wherever I go! You know, inspiring folks to don their pink tutus, embrace their inner diva, and just have a good time.

Speaking of inner divas, have you spotted my latest #PinkTutuChallenge on www.pink-tutu.com? We’ve got some incredible submissions this month, showing just how much our little pink tutu revolution is spreading!

Now, that reminds me – I've got to go! I've got a few more performance venues lined up and need to finalise those amazing new looks I've created. So stay tuned, darling! I've got a whole heap of stories and sequins to share from my journey!

See you soon, and remember: embrace the pink!

Lots of pink, glitter and love,

Your #TutuQueen.
