Hello my darling darlings! Pink Tutu Sparkles here, ready to sprinkle a bit of magic on your day! Today's post is a little bit extra special because... I'm in Hornchurch! Yes, my dears, the iconic Pink Tutu has graced this charming little town and let me tell you, I'm absolutely smitten.
It all started with a very special invitation to perform at the annual Hornchurch Festival. Honestly, when they called, I nearly fainted from excitement! Performing for the wonderful folk of Hornchurch - what could be more glamorous?
Now, getting to Hornchurch is half the fun! Since my first trip to Edinburgh, I've discovered a real passion for travelling by train. It's a chance to catch up on my reading, sketch new outfit ideas, and admire the gorgeous British countryside flashing by - all whilst sipping on my favourite strawberry and lime fizz. Oh, the sheer joy of it all! (Though, honestly, I'd happily ditch the train for a beautiful carriage pulled by a pair of elegant, sparkly-hooved horses. Imagine that - Pink Tutu Sparkles travelling in style!)
Speaking of style, this journey has called for a brand-new outfit, wouldn't you say? The outfit du jour is a breathtaking vision of fluffy pink, of course! Think a floor-length tulle skirt in a gorgeous shade of bubblegum pink, a silk top that shimmers like a thousand tiny diamonds, and a crown that's literally fit for a queen (myself, obviously). 👑 To complete the look, I added a pair of bright pink high heels that could give the stiletto gods a run for their money. Oh darling, let me tell you, this is the outfit of dreams!
Once I arrived in Hornchurch, I knew I needed to explore. My love for ballet isn't just limited to my performances - I adore seeing a good ballet show. I discovered that Hornchurch has a beautiful local theatre with an exciting programme! Now, I haven't decided yet, but I might even squeeze in a ballet class with the local dance company. Just picture it - Pink Tutu Sparkles, perfecting pirouettes amidst a flurry of pink tulle! I'll let you know how it goes...
Now, I can't wait to tell you about the show itself. The Hornchurch Festival is so lively, filled with families and excited children - everyone having a good time! And darling, can I just say, I totally nailed my act! My favourite song, 'Sparkles and Glitter', always gets the crowd going and they were loving every minute of it. After my performance, I even signed autographs! So thrilling!
One thing I particularly loved about Hornchurch was their stunning selection of independent shops. Let me tell you, my darling darlings, the shopkeepers were all just so welcoming! There's this gorgeous little boutique called 'Frou Frou,' and it was like stepping into a dream. My eyes popped when I saw the most beautiful pink tutu in the window! Of course, I just had to add it to my collection. The lady at the till told me it's called 'Pink Cloud Dream' and I have to agree - that's exactly what it is. And darling, let's be honest, what could be better than a new pink tutu for a pink tutu queen, eh?
Speaking of dreams, I can't leave out my absolute favourite place in Hornchurch: the beautiful 'Pinkerton's Cafe'. It's the cutest little cafe with an unbelievably delicious selection of cakes! Oh, I'm weak at the knees for a good piece of cake and this place just blew me away. (They have a strawberry cheesecake so good it would make you cry tears of joy.) The owner, a lovely woman named Amelia, told me she just wanted to create a place where everyone feels welcome - and oh my dear, it really does feel like that. It's no surprise that Hornchurch has a reputation for being a really friendly and welcoming place, honestly. I absolutely love it here.
