Laindon Calling: Pink Tutu Sparkles is Here!

Hello my lovely little glitterbugs! 💖✨

It's Pink Tutu Sparkles, ready to unleash another day of shimmering excitement on my favourite little corner of the internet, www.pink-tutu.com! Today marks a special milestone for our little blog, number 1993 - we're really turning the big 5-0 soon (well, five-0 hundred and a few). I hope you're all tucked in comfortably, sipping a glass of something pink and ready for another sprinkle of pink tutu magic!

Speaking of magic, guess where your girl landed today? Laindon! A quaint little town with a touch of charm, just a short train ride from the hustle and bustle of London (which is more than you can say for that infernal car ride, oh those London drivers!)

My journey here started as always, at dawn - I love the way the early morning sunlight kisses the cobblestones of Derbyshire. A quick croissant at the cafe and a little coffee to perk me up, and off I was, London bound, bright eyed and bubbly!

Now, I’m always one for a touch of theatrical travel - it’s simply not a Pink Tutu Sparkles adventure without a little flourish! So, this time I decided to do something extra special. I dusted off my trusty steed, a beautiful dappled grey stallion called Starlight - you wouldn't believe the looks I got on the platform, I tell you! We strutted our way through the station, creating a symphony of snorts, clacks, and swirling pink tulle as the first rays of sunshine lit up our path! I mean, wouldn’t that be an amazing way to commute? You could imagine the gossip down the tube: "Did you see that horse on the Northern Line?"

Thankfully, the staff at the train station are always brilliant! And Starlight loves them as much as I do. I usually find him a nice corner of the platform to rest. People are very sweet - the first thing you know they've surrounded him and are giving him treats! And that's how he gets to relax while I'm glistening under the morning sun, giving them my best smiles and glittering my way on board!

We made our way to Laindon in grand style, a whirlwind of Pink Tutu Sparkles sparkle and gentle horse hooves. As soon as I got off the train I was met by such beautiful scenery – a sea of green trees and a perfectly picturesque little town. I just knew it was the perfect backdrop for some Pink Tutu magic.

Oh, I must tell you about my Laindon adventure. It’s been filled with tea, cakes, and so many lovely new people! This morning I took a ballet class - I love learning and trying new styles, especially with amazing new instructors who share my love for pink tutus, even if they were a bit confused when I walked in wearing a shimmering purple pink one that matches my eyeshadow and my shoes.

After a hearty lunch in a sweet little cafe that made the best strawberry and cream tea you ever saw, I started prepping for my show later tonight. I knew I had to go full Pink Tutu Sparkles here, Laindon deserved something extra sparkly! So I decided to try something a little different - I am, after all, the queen of reinvention!

I picked out a stunning pink tutu – think cascading tiers of the most beautiful pink tulle you ever did see! It was adorned with sequined stars, which seemed particularly fitting given my star-studded destination! I finished my look with some crystal-studded stilettos, some bright pink glitter eyeshadow, and a cherry red lip for a touch of classic glam. Honestly, I looked like I had just stepped out of a fairytale!

The theatre where I am performing is right in the heart of Laindon - it's small and charming, with the perfect blend of vintage charm and contemporary style, with the most amazing lighting I’ve seen in ages - and a stunning chandelier. You wouldn't believe how many pictures I took in front of it! I'm sharing them on my social media, you can follow me on pinktutusparkles and give my posts a like, a love, a share!

My performance was electric! I just love sharing the pink tutu magic, watching people laugh and clap, the whole theatre vibrated with the energy of the dance! Laindon certainly has a vibrant community who embraced the pink tutu magic wholeheartedly, it felt truly wonderful. After the show, I had the opportunity to chat with several members of the audience - the community is so kind and open and were keen to get a picture of me in my fabulous pink tutu with their loved ones, the kids in particular were thrilled to be in my sparkly pink photos. Honestly, these moments are what make everything worth it! My mission: Get everyone to wear a pink tutu, one glitter-infused moment at a time.

Tonight, after all the glitter, I’m enjoying the most incredible view - I have a stunning cottage overlooking the valley with windows that show a moonlit view - how romantic is that?! I'm having a very civilized glass of pink prosecco (it goes perfectly with the strawberry cake, a truly pink-tastic treat), reflecting on another fantastic day filled with the beauty of the countryside and the kindness of the community - which is what makes these trips so rewarding and so unforgettable.

I hope you're ready for tomorrow! Because we're hitting the road again, this time I’m heading to somewhere special, a place I know you are all going to be obsessed with…but I'll leave you in suspense for now! Until next time, my dearest pink tutu enthusiasts, keep on shining, and remember: the world is a beautiful place when we all wear a pink tutu! ✨💖

Love,

Pink Tutu Sparkles 😘
