Hello my darling darlings! 💋 Pink Tutu Sparkles here, back with another post for you from your favourite tutu-loving, pink-obsessed drag queen! 💖 Today, we're going all out with post number 1994, travelling all the way to Llanelli, Wales, to spread some glitter and pink tutu love! 🚂✨
Llanelli, oh Llanelli! This seaside town has stolen my heart, and not just for its gorgeous coastline, but for its amazing energy! 💖 You wouldn't think a place named after a red-headed saint (Saint Elli) would be this fabulously pink-tastic, but let me tell you, my darlings, Llanelli has become my latest obsession.
So, how did a drag queen like myself find herself in this beautiful part of Wales? Well, as usual, I was following my little pink-tutu-shaped compass! 💖 You see, a dear friend of mine who owns a fantastic dancewear store in the town had heard I was on the road, and invited me to come along for their anniversary celebrations! 💃🏼 Of course, I couldn't possibly say no to the chance to mingle with fellow dancers and maybe pick up some new sparkly leggings or tulle to add to my already overflowing wardrobe! 🛍️
Now, travelling by train has its charms, and there’s something truly magical about arriving at a new station and soaking up the energy of a new place. It reminds me of all the times I've dreamt of being a prima ballerina, gracefully hopping on and off trains to exotic destinations! 🩰 Plus, it gave me plenty of time to get ready, make a few videos for you all, and listen to my "I love tutus" playlist on repeat! 🎶
Arriving in Llanelli felt like stepping into a vintage postcard – brightly coloured shops, charming cobblestone streets, and that gorgeous seaside breeze. It reminded me of some of the seaside towns back in my home county of Derbyshire! 🌊 Of course, a seaside trip wouldn't be complete without a scoop of ice cream, right? 🍨🍦 (My personal favourite: pink strawberry, naturally! 💖)
But enough about the scenery, let's talk about the highlight of my trip: The dance show! 🎉 As I said, my friend's shop hosted an anniversary celebration, complete with live music and dancing! From classic ballet pieces to sizzling contemporary dance routines, the show was simply divine! And let's not forget the fabulously dressed crowd! ✨
The energy in the room was electric. There was something incredibly special about seeing so many people, from all walks of life, coming together to celebrate their love of dance and movement. It’s that kind of shared passion, the pure joy that radiates out when people come together and do something they truly love, that makes life feel truly pink-tastic!💖 It was inspiring and made me even more passionate about bringing my own little touch of pink tutu magic to the world.
After the show, my friend had invited me to join them for dinner at their favourite seafood restaurant – so fresh and delicious! 🦞🦐 (And yes, even the pink prawns were fantastic! 😉) I must say, the food in Llanelli was absolutely fantastic, I felt truly spoiled! 🥂
And the next morning, my friend insisted on giving me a private tour of Llanelli's amazing park! 💚 Think rolling green hills, colourful flower gardens, and sparkling lakes – truly idyllic! 🌸 The park even had a dedicated spot where people could learn to roller skate! 🛼 I was tempted to whip out my pink tutu and give it a go, but alas, I had to keep my focus on making it back to Derbyshire and getting back into my lab coat for my daytime job.
My travels in Llanelli ended with a delicious breakfast of pancakes and a pink milkshake at a local café! 🥞 The owner told me it was a famous local spot, and even celebrities were known to frequent the place, can you imagine, meeting a celebrity here! 💖 It was the perfect way to end a truly magical trip, a perfect blend of pink tutu dreams and delicious culinary delights!
Llanelli, you’ve captured my heart, and I promise, I'll be back soon, perhaps to try out those roller skates or join a dance class! ✨ And maybe, just maybe, we can convince the local dance troupe to join forces and give a pink-tutu performance, one that will be sure to make everyone smile.
