Whitley Bay Calling! - Post Number 1997

Hiya darlings! It's your favourite pink-loving tutu-wearing queen, Pink Tutu Sparkles, back with another travel diary entry, and this time we're heading north to the seaside town of Whitley Bay!

As always, my fabulous journey began in my favourite way: a luxurious train journey! The carriage was buzzing with excited chatter, and I swear I even spotted a family dressed in matching floral prints, a true sign of a good day. Of course, no trip is complete without a little pink fashion. My outfit was a symphony of sweetness: a vibrant pink satin blouse adorned with sequined hearts, a fluffy tulle skirt that cascaded around my legs like a sugary cloud, and my signature pink tutu, topped off with a glamorous feathered headpiece. I just couldn't resist the allure of the colour pink!

The journey itself was a delightful blur of quaint landscapes and charming towns, leaving me utterly enthralled. I even spotted a delightful herd of horses grazing in a nearby meadow. Honestly, it’s moments like these that make me truly appreciate the beauty of our country.

Reaching Whitley Bay felt like stepping into a charming postcard. The air was filled with the salty tang of the sea, and the beach was a tapestry of sun-drenched sand, playful children, and ice cream stalls! After a quick stroll, I was drawn to a charming vintage shop, brimming with colourful trinkets and fascinating oddities. I couldn’t resist snagging a few retro sunglasses and a bright pink feather boa to complete my outfit.

Whitley Bay seems to possess a certain magic, darling. It's got that unique blend of quaintness and vibrancy. As the sun dipped behind the horizon, painting the sky in a kaleidoscope of colours, I found myself at the Whitley Bay Playhouse. It’s an architectural gem with a touch of whimsy and old-world charm, just like my favourite ballet theatre!

Of course, it wouldn’t be a proper Pink Tutu Sparkles trip without a splash of fabulousness! My show at the playhouse was a triumph. The crowd loved my "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star" routine, where I donned a dazzling diamond-studded tutu and twirled under the spotlight! After the performance, I had the most delightful time chatting with the audience. I love the genuine excitement and curiosity that people show towards Pink Tutu Sparkles!

Speaking of curiosity, one lovely woman asked me about the inspiration behind my Pink Tutu journey. I told her about how it all started during my science degree at university. We were fundraising for the local ballet school and someone asked if I'd wear a tutu! It was the most magical feeling and sparked something in me that just wouldn’t quit!

The next day I had a chance to explore more of Whitley Bay's delights. I took a lovely horse-drawn carriage ride, marvelling at the bustling seafront, and enjoyed the freshest fish and chips from the iconic "Chippy on the Beach." I even tried on a few gorgeous tutus in a local dancewear shop, just because!

After my seaside adventures, it was time to bid farewell to this charming town. I hopped aboard a train back to my Derbyshire roots, with a heart full of joy and a mind filled with new experiences. The journey back was as delightful as the trip up, full of interesting conversations and enchanting scenery.

I just adore travelling and experiencing all the unique cultures and quirks of different places. But the true highlight of my trips is always sharing my love for tutus, for colour, and for joy! My ultimate dream? To inspire everyone to put on their favourite pink tutu, twirl around with their heart's delight and embrace the fun and the sparkle that lies within us all. So, what are you waiting for? Grab a pink tutu and let your inner queen shine!

Until next time darlings, stay fabulous and remember: every day is a reason to twirl!

XOXO,

Pink Tutu Sparkles 💖✨
