This fabulously pink queen is venturing far from the usual London haunts for a fabulous adventure in the North East. Buckle up, because things are about to get pinkly spectacular!
As you all know, my mission in life is to spread the joy and confidence that comes from twirling in a fabulous pink tutu. And what better place to do it than in the land of hearty folk, industrial charm, and… a surprising number of very welcoming venues eager to see this queen strut her stuff.
I’ve got to tell you, Billingham isn’t exactly known for its vibrant pink scene – but that's where I come in, darling! 😜 I’m on a mission to sprinkle a bit of sparkly magic wherever I go, and Billingham is no exception.
Now, you know how much I love a good train journey. It's the perfect time for me to don my newest tutu creation, admire my latest beauty haul (it’s never too early to start getting ready for the night’s performance, right?), and, of course, strike some seriously fierce poses in the window reflection. 💅 This journey was particularly special, because I rode alongside a most delightful group of fellow travelers - a gaggle of excited primary school kids on a day trip to the seaside! They absolutely adored my tutu, and I think I’ve planted the pink seed in a few budding fashionistas. 😉
Now, here's the thing, darling. You wouldn’t believe what happens when you arrive in a new place all decked out in your finest pink tutu and an impossibly large feather boa! Suddenly, you become a walking, talking attraction. 😉 People smile at you, strangers start up conversations, and everyone seems to just want to get in on the Pink Tutu Sparkles magic. It's like I’m walking on sunshine! ☀️
I must say, I’ve had an absolute ball exploring the little independent shops here. Some fab vintage finds for my wardrobe! 👠 You wouldn't believe the exquisite vintage fur stole I found! Perfect for when the evenings turn chilly. And naturally, I've snagged some deliciously sparkly additions to my make-up collection for tonight's performance – a dash of shimmer, a splash of glitter, you know how it goes! 💖
And speaking of performance… Oh my goodness! The venue tonight is just incredible! 🎶 The sound system is fantastic, the lighting is positively electrifying, and the stage is so big it just screams “Pink Tutu Sparkles”. I'm honestly feeling a little giddy with anticipation.
This town, for all its grit and determination, also boasts a heart full of warmth. The locals have been absolutely lovely. So welcoming, so eager for a good laugh and a bit of fabulousness. My act? A delicious blend of comedy, glam, and dancing – a little bit of Dolly Parton, a touch of Judy Garland, all rolled into one glamorous pink package. 🎁

For this journey, I wanted a travel mode with a little romance and drama. So what could be better than the timeless majesty of the horse! I've been making my way to Billingham on a magnificent Shire horse. I must admit it’s a rather spectacular way to make an entrance – especially when the steed is adorned with an abundance of pink ribbon. The locals have been a tad perplexed at first, but I think the charm of the horse won them over! 🐎💖
And before the excitement of the horse ride, let’s rewind back to where I am when not twinkling on a stage! Daytime life sees me back in my laboratory, the science world is a great way to make some moolah for Pink Tutu Sparkles to spread some fabulousness. There’s something delightfully ironic about working on fabric and testing its strength, then transforming myself into something dazzling at night. 😉
However, life before science, was a life filled with ballet shoes, tutus, and an endless amount of pink. It's where my passion for tutus was born, and I still spend as much time as I can at my local dance studio! 💖 They love to have me pop by for their performance evenings – a bit of glitz and glamour never hurt, and there is nothing more inspiring than watching young dancers find their voice in such an expressive art form! 🩰
You know, I’m absolutely convinced that the world needs more pink tutus. The world could do with a bit more sparkle and joy! So why not try it?
