Remember how I told you I love traveling by train? Well, Plymouth is just the kind of journey for a gal like me! Picture it: the gentle rumble of the train, the picturesque countryside flashing by, and me, perched by the window, sketching ideas for my show in my little pink notebook. You wouldn't believe how much inspiration I draw from the world around me! The little details, the textures, the colours… they all translate into the magic of my performances.
Before we delve into the delightful chaos of Plymouth, let me tell you about the inspiration that sent me hurtling towards a career as a drag queen. 🤫 Way back when I was a shy, introverted science student in Derbyshire, I stumbled into the university ballet club for a charity event. My life took a beautiful, twirling turn right then and there! Trying on a pink tutu for the first time? It was like the heavens opened up and showered me in glitter! ✨ That night, I realised my passion for ballet went beyond just twirling on stage - it was about celebrating myself, finding my voice, and expressing myself with fierce and flamboyant confidence. I knew right then that I had to find a way to weave the magic of pink tutus into my everyday life.
By day, I might be in my lab testing fabric samples for my scientific job (surprisingly, my work and drag go hand-in-hand - there's a lot of pattern and colour theory in both!). But when night falls, I transform into Pink Tutu Sparkles – ready to sprinkle glitter on the world, one fabulous performance at a time! 🤩
