Bonjour from Lyon! 💖🩰

Bonjour mes amies! It's Pink Tutu Sparkles here, bringing you the fabulous news of my latest escapade in the stunning city of Lyon! This is post number 2113, so buckle up because this is going to be a right peach of a read!

As you all know, my heart beats for a good old fashioned adventure, especially if it involves a pair of pink ballet shoes and a fabulously pink tutu! And let me tell you, Lyon did not disappoint. The minute I stepped off the train and into that vibrant, artistic air, I knew I was going to fall in love. I just can't help it - I'm like a fluffy pink bunny, drawn to all things bright and beautiful!

The moment I hit the cobblestone streets of Lyon, I was instantly surrounded by charming boutiques filled with fabulous frocks. My shopping bag filled with gorgeous pastel scarves and Parisian chic dresses quicker than you can say "pink tutu" It's no secret that I live for the feeling of discovering new fashion finds and Lyon was a treasure trove of Parisian chic waiting to be unleashed!

Now, we all know that no trip of mine is complete without a spot of ballet, so I made a beeline for the Opera House! Seeing the grand facade, I practically skipped through the streets, all excited. The performance? A magical concoction of delicate movements, enchanting music and the most spectacular costumes - think swan lake but with a healthy dose of glitter!

Don't worry darlings, I didn't miss a beat of the action. The only thing missing was my own little twirl on the stage! I tell you, there's something about the world of ballet that just sets my heart aflutter. Maybe it's the elegance, the discipline, or the sheer joy of expression. Whatever it is, I'm hooked! It all began, you know, with a cheeky little pink tutu while I was studying for my science degree at the university in Derbyshire. I had the pleasure of joining their ballet club and thought I’d try one on for a charity event. It was the most glamorous, magical moment I had ever experienced. And then bam! Pink tutu mania took hold and I knew I had to share this amazing feeling with the world! It was all meant to be, don't you think?

Now, I must admit, finding myself on a stage wasn't the plan for a science graduate like myself. I worked in a lab, testing fabrics, you know - the stuff your tutu is made of! But after hours, under the glittering lights of stage lights, I found a new kind of experiment - an experiment in pink tulle, dazzling rhinestones and a touch of fabulousness.

It was through performing as Pink Tutu Sparkles that I got to go on these incredible journeys and meet so many wonderful people who share the love of pink tutus! From the bustling streets of Paris to the glittering stage of Vegas, the love of pink tutus has truly united us all.

I had to sneak into Lyon a day earlier so I could join a local ballet class at ‘La Maison du Ballet’ in Old Lyon. It's a haven for dancers of all levels. The graceful movements, the elegant turns, the joyous laughter of all ages dancing - my heart was filled to the brim!

I spent my days here in Lyon strolling through charming markets, where the scent of freshly baked pastries and artisanal cheeses filled the air. It was like a scene from a dream! But for a fabulous drag queen like me, there was one market stall that stood out like a diamond amongst pearls - the one with all the shimmering sequins, fluffy boas and... you guessed it! PINK TUTUS!! Oh the glorious delight!

Being in a new city without experiencing some local culinary delights is simply unthinkable, isn't it? I have to say, my favourite experience was dinner at “La Mère Brazier" – a restaurant renowned for its classic Lyon cuisine and warm, intimate atmosphere. The staff, with their genuine warmth and laughter, treated me like one of their own. It's such a comfort when you're on the road to feel welcomed and included. You really feel that French warmth and generosity!

So, as the sun sets on another wonderful day in this enchanting city, I’m left with memories of exquisite ballet performances, shopping sprees that had my pockets crying with delight and an appreciation for the Parisian style and glamour that seems to effortlessly seep out of every charming nook and cranny of Lyon.

But I leave Lyon with more than just happy memories, I leave with a sense of joy for spreading the pink tutu love. It is my mission to inspire every single one of you to find your inner Pink Tutu Sparkles, unleash your inner brilliance and twirl your way through life with a smile!

Until next time darlings, remember, every day is an opportunity to sparkle! Now, off I trot to pack my sparkly bag with even more pink tulle - there’s a whole world of pink tutus waiting for me to discover!
