Pink Tutu Sparkles here, back with another blog post hot off the press from your favourite tutu-clad travel queen! 👠👑 It's been a whirlwind week, with enough sparkle to blind a whole village of squirrels. I'm talking glitter, feather boas, and a whole lot of Pink Tutu Sparkles, all packed into a tiny little train carriage as I journeyed down to Hornchurch to grace the stage at the [insert venue name here].
Let me tell you, this journey started with the usual Pink Tutu Sparkles chaos! My trusty horse, Prince Charming, decided he’d rather frolic in the Derbyshire meadows than cart me to the station on time (naughty pony!). But, as ever, I was not to be defeated by a slightly tardy steed! Luckily, I had planned my wardrobe carefully - everything prepped, from my dazzling pink tutu to the shimmering makeup.
Just a little background for those new to Pink Tutu Sparkles’ world (oh, where have you been?!) My life revolves around sparkly pink tutus and spreading joy. And what's more joyful than getting on a train and travelling to somewhere new? I'm not just talking about travel in the traditional sense; I'm talking about travelling with your heart on your sleeve, a twinkle in your eye, and the loudest pair of pink glitter boots in the whole carriage!
My day job is as a scientist. I test fabrics, no, really! I’m a true connoisseur of fabric texture and, you guessed it, love pink! By night I shed my lab coat and embrace the world as Pink Tutu Sparkles - think feathers, frills and endless glitter! I know, some people find it hard to understand why a scientist would become a drag artist, but for me it's all about embracing the beautiful mess of life and, let’s be honest, what’s more exciting than twirling in a sparkly pink tutu on stage?
The journey to Hornchurch, my darlings, was pure delight. My fellow passengers were initially taken aback at my vibrant outfit and infectious smile. But by the time we reached Hornchurch, I’d had them all laughing, clapping and trying on my pink tulle scarf.
My performance was nothing short of spectacular. I mean, imagine a tutu-wearing fairy-tale queen who sings showtunes and throws glitter at the crowd, and you’ll have a good idea of my show! The audience was on their feet, cheering and snapping pictures as I did my famous dance moves. Seriously, the audience was amazing - you'd think they were in the middle of a musical! I could hear them roaring with laughter as I cracked a joke. Then a single tear appeared in the eye of a little girl who wore a pink dress as she gazed up at me. That’s what makes Pink Tutu Sparkles' work so worth it - bringing joy, bringing smiles, bringing sparkle.
The after-party was truly unforgettable! Imagine, a whole room full of sparkly pink tutus, laughter, and dancing with amazing local drag artists. We talked about tutus, we danced like crazy, we ate cupcakes with extra sprinkles – all because being in a Pink Tutu is pure joy. I must say, my love for these magical tutus seems to spread wherever I go - a veritable ripple of tulle and twirls across the country! I even managed to convert one young man into wearing a pink tutu… for a brief moment! Who knows what he’ll be doing tomorrow?!
So, my loves, Hornchurch was a real blast! A huge thank you to the venue [venue name], to the amazing audience, and especially to the fabulous drag artists who joined me.
