Bournville: A Pink Tutu Pilgrimage! ๐Ÿฉฐ

Hello darlings! It's your favourite pink-tutu-clad queen, Pink Tutu Sparkles, back for another sparkly post, this time straight from the charming town of Bournville, Birmingham! This is post number 2308, a record that makes me even more excited for our future journeys! ๐Ÿ’–

You know how I always say, "every day's an adventure" (because, let's be real, when you live life in a pink tutu, adventure follows you!) and Bournville definitely lived up to that!

Now, I have to be honest, when I first heard the name "Bournville," my brain went straight to the chocolate! ๐Ÿ˜‹ (Don't judge, we all have our food-related thought patterns!) Turns out, the town's named after the chocolate maker, and what a delicious link that is, isn't it? It just made the whole trip feel extra sweet!

I travelled to Bournville by train, of course! The steam engine chugging through the countryside is pure magic. The rhythm of the journey always brings out my inner ballerina, making me wanna twirl right through the windows (and frankly, if I was a superpowered ballerina queen, that's exactly what I'd do!). ๐Ÿ˜‰

Arriving in Bournville, the air felt different. Less rushed than London, less boisterous than Manchester, a sweet calm with the air tinged with the aroma of ... you guessed it, chocolate! This was going to be a delightful journey! ๐Ÿซ

My first stop? The Bournville Chocolate Centre! Imagine, a place dedicated entirely to the creation of that rich, dark, delicious delight. This was heaven! ๐Ÿ˜ I mean, don't even get me started on the free samples. It was like they knew a Pink Tutu queen was on the way and were ready to cater to her every whim! ๐Ÿ˜‰

From the sweet treats of chocolate heaven, I headed to the Cadbury World, where I got to discover the secret of those iconic Cadbury Creme Eggs. Okay, it may have been slightly less magical than actually eating a Cadbury Creme Egg (that silky-smooth cream centre is a goddess-level delight!) but it was still a fascinating glimpse into the chocolate making process. Plus, I got a chance to test my skills on a chocolate fountain - just a little extra frosting on this sweet day, don't you think? ๐Ÿซ

However, a true Pink Tutu queen can't only be about sugary delights, so after chocolatey adventures, it was time for something more elegant. It's a bit of a surprise for some, but you know me: I adore a good ballet! And luckily for me, the Birmingham Hippodrome is not that far from Bournville. And what a treat it was! It was a beautiful performance of "Swan Lake," a truly romantic ballet masterpiece that stole my heart with its fluid movements, and enchanting costumes. It made me feel so alive, and reminded me that I love wearing these fluffy tutu's because they allow me to express the beautiful movement in a performance or when twirling along to some pop music! ๐Ÿฆข

Bournville itself wasn't bursting with ballet shops, but I made a quick stop in a local craft shop to pick up some pink yarn for a little personal crafting project - gotta keep those tutu-crafting fingers busy! You wouldn't believe the amazing pink fabrics I found in that small shop, such delightful colours! ๐Ÿคฉ

My day in Bournville ended with a fabulous sunset. As the golden light cast over the town, I couldn't help but think of how similar the colour was to my favourite shade of pink. It's so vibrant, so full of life, it reminds me to embrace the beauty of life in all its different shades!

And speaking of colours, you wouldn't believe how many other shades of pink I saw throughout Bournville! It seems like this little town is on a mission to spread the joy of this fabulous colour, which I wholeheartedly applaud! (Maybe it's the influence of those famous chocolate treats? ๐Ÿ˜‰)

Bournville was a perfect destination for a Pink Tutu queen's adventures: delicious, enchanting, and sprinkled with plenty of pink.

And remember darlings, stay pink and keep shining bright!

Love,

Pink Tutu Sparkles xoxo
