Hey darlings! Your favourite pink-loving, tutu-wearing diva is back with another blog post, this time straight from the Big Apple itself! 🍎🗽 It's been a whirlwind of a trip so far, filled with sequins, sparkles, and of course, tutus galore! I'm loving every minute of it!
As you know, I always travel in style, and this time was no different. I'd rather take the scenic route, so I opted for the majestic Amtrak train, a fabulous journey that allowed me to take in the picturesque landscapes of America. You know, darling, sometimes the journey is just as magical as the destination!
Once I arrived in the concrete jungle, I was ready to hit the ground running! My schedule was jam-packed with ballet shows, Broadway productions, and of course, some much-needed shopping therapy! I've already snagged a couple of fabulous vintage tutus that I can't wait to showcase at my next performance. Speaking of, my first gig in New York was a dazzling rooftop party under the stars, and let me tell you, the New Yorkers know how to party! They were completely enamoured with my Pink Tutu Sparkles look, especially the fluffy, pink tulle I'd used for this particular performance. It’s all about the dramatic flair, darling!
Between performances, I've been squeezing in some time to soak in the atmosphere of New York. The energy here is electric! The sights, the sounds, the smells, even the hustle and bustle of the crowds – everything feels magical and inspiring. I even went to the New York City Ballet! The dancers were exquisite! And it reminded me, of course, why I absolutely adore the art form. There’s nothing like seeing a bunch of people dressed in tutus perform graceful moves across the stage, right? 🩰
Now, you know I wouldn’t be true to my name without indulging in some delightful shopping. Let’s just say the fashion scene in New York has truly blown me away! I managed to squeeze in a few visits to vintage clothing shops, where I unearthed a few absolute gems. And I finally found a truly majestic pink tutu I've been searching for! A gorgeous layered, tiered pink creation fit for a princess. Honestly, darlings, you’ve gotta trust my eye when it comes to tutus! You won't regret it!
I even managed to find a fantastic little shop selling custom-made feather boas, you know, for adding that extra special touch to my performances. They just sparkle, darling, with each feather individually dyed in shimmering shades of pink. Just picture it, all these colourful feather boas twirling and twirling, with each flutter, they send shimmering sparks of pink throughout the stage… sigh I could dream about boas and tutus forever!
Of course, no trip to New York would be complete without a ride on a horse-drawn carriage. Let's face it, there’s a certain romanticism associated with taking a stroll around Central Park on a lovely horse. They even let me hold the reigns, darling! 🏇 It was absolutely charming!
It’s been a truly unforgettable journey so far, and I’m only halfway through my stay. You know I’ll be sure to post updates every day, with more pictures and behind-the-scenes snippets from the big city.
I have to admit, the hardest thing about being in New York has been choosing what to wear each day. Honestly, darling, the options are just endless! You can see how I’m finding it rather stressful, trying to pick out outfits that will truly complement my natural brilliance and dazzle! ✨
I must dash now, but don't worry darlings, I’ll keep you updated. In the meantime, if you’re ever thinking of visiting New York City, you absolutely have to go see a ballet show. They have some truly fabulous companies here. It truly does take you to a different world.
