Billingham Bound, Baby! πŸ’–βœ¨

Helloooo lovelies! πŸ‘‹ It's your girl Pink Tutu Sparkles, back with another blog post, number 2521! πŸ’–βœ¨ You won't believe what adventures I've had in the past few days. Buckle up, because this one's going to be a total blast!

Right, so, where did I go? You guessed it, BILLINGHAM! I'm practically a pro at those northern towns now - Billingham's on the map! πŸ˜‰ I always enjoy the charm of smaller cities and I felt Billingham really had a fabulous vibe. Plus, a great little pub in the town square served the best shepherd's pie I've ever had! πŸ˜‹

This Billingham trip was all about the theatre! I mean, my life practically revolves around theatre, doesn't it? πŸ˜‰ From watching classic ballets to learning fancy footwork myself, it's pure magic. This time, though, I went for something a bit different... ballet street performance! Can you imagine? 🀩 The energy, the crowds, the dancing in the open air, all lit by those warm autumn evening lights... pure magic, I tell you!

Now, you know I can't travel without a sprinkle of glamour, right? So, I was wearing my new blush pink tutu, paired with a shimmering silver top, topped off with a touch of glitter. ✨ (That sparkle never fails to impress! πŸ˜‚) Of course, the pink shoes, matching the tutu perfectly, and a pink feathered boa for good measure - wouldn't be a Pink Tutu Sparkles performance without it! The whole ensemble had everyone mesmerized! πŸ˜‰

You see, I love to inspire everyone to wear a little bit of pink! The colour brings joy, a little bit of playfulness, and let's be honest, it's totally empowering! πŸ₯° So, when the chance arose to meet the ballet troupe in Billingham - my first ever meeting with a street ballet crew - I just had to join them! We did a few rehearsals, they taught me some fun moves, and I even shared a few of my own fancy steps. I truly believe, girls, it doesn't matter what stage you're performing on! You just have to dance like no one's watching... even if there's a whole audience! 🀩

The next day, after the incredible energy of the ballet performance, I found myself drawn to a quieter, more introspective adventure. It's hard to explain, but sometimes I crave that sense of stillness. So, I went for a walk around a local park, feeling the autumn leaves crunch under my pink-tutu-clad feet! πŸ‚ The park was so peaceful, with the scent of fallen leaves in the air, a symphony of birds singing... You know how I love being surrounded by nature! The colours in the trees mirrored the pink of my outfit and I truly felt a connection to my surroundings. πŸƒπŸ’–

Then, it was back on the road for me. You see, as a drag queen, you have to be a little bit like a travelling circus act, heading off to your next destination, which always leads to exciting new experiences and opportunities. I hopped on the train for the journey back, waving to the friendly Billingham folks from the window. I just had the feeling I'd be back to see those lovely people and share my passion for pink and performing.

You know, I've got to tell you about the most extraordinary moment from the entire Billingham journey. I'd finished my set in a bustling square - and after the applause died down - I went back to the station for my train back to Derbyshire. While I was standing there, looking out for the platform number for my train, a group of little girls ran towards me! πŸ₯° They were totally mesmerized by my pink tutu and asked if they could have a picture with me. Well, you just couldn't stop me!

I immediately knew this is exactly why I do what I do! If I could even make just a few little girls smile, imagine how many hearts I can touch with my pink tutu power! πŸ’– After a little photoshoot, the girls giggled and ran off, their little eyes still fixed on the sparkling tutu and the pink glitter! πŸ’– ✨

It’s moments like this that fuel my passion, keep me going, and give me so much joy. You see, it's not about the glitter, the sequins, or the performance; it's about making connections, spreading joy, and making people smile. So, whether it's a fancy stage, a bustling town square, or a peaceful park, I'll be there, embracing the beauty and magic of life, one pink tutu at a time! πŸ’–βœ¨
