Pink Tutu Sparkles's Travels: Spalding Shenanigans! ✨💖

Hello my darlings! 👋 It's your Tutu Queen, Pink Tutu Sparkles, signing in from a sunny Spalding, Lincolnshire! Can you believe it? I'm back with another post, number 2525 for those counting! (Which, frankly, is a feat in itself!) Today's adventure is brought to you by the powers of sparkle, tutus, and, of course, pink! 💖

This week has been a whirlwind! I've been touring like crazy, hitting every stage, fair, and festival I can find! First stop was Nottingham, where I shimmied my way through the Nottingham Folk Festival. Let me tell you, the folks of Nottingham certainly know how to party! And I do mean party. I performed under the watchful gaze of the Nottingham castle, and the energy of the crowd was electric! We had dancing, we had singing, and yes, you guessed it – we had tutus! A good chunk of the audience even sported their own pink tutus, joining me in a flurry of tulle and laughter.

You know how much I adore the colour pink! 💖 And it was glorious to see a sea of pink in the audience. Honestly, the more pink tutus out there, the better! We've gotta spread the love, babes! Let’s make this the era of the pink tutu. That's my mission! Let’s spread that pink positivity.

After Nottingham, it was a hop on the train – one of my favourite ways to travel. And speaking of hop, my legs have definitely been working hard this week. Just last night I was twirling at a street performance in Derby. That Derbyshire air really brings out the magic in me, don’t you think? 😂 Of course, I always find time for a little ballet practice. It’s crucial, you know!

Ballet has always held a special place in my heart. I even dabbled in a science degree once, you wouldn’t believe it! 🤓 A little peek into my other life, if you will. Who knew that a science lab would lead to a love for pink tutus? 😅 You see, my whole life, I was destined for sparkly tutus, and even studying chemistry couldn’t hold me back. You could say I was "caught in a pink mist" and haven't looked back since. A dear friend convinced me to try on a pink tutu at a university charity event. You see, the tutu’s magic works in mysterious ways… It just had to be a tutu for a charity event! What were the odds, you might ask?! You see, fate always finds a way!

As a bit of a fun fact for my dear readers, I actually used to test fabric for a living. The funny thing is that I actually discovered a fabric with a perfect blush hue for a tutu. It had such a lovely, light sheen and felt so wonderful on my skin. Alas, my dream of a perfect pink tutu fabric remains a dream. It’s all in the chemistry, and they only seemed interested in the fabric’s ability to resist stain. They thought I was bonkers for obsessing over the shade. That’s right, science and tutus just don’t mix. It’s an unfortunate, though amusing truth.

I find a thrill in putting on the tutu for my evening performances – such a perfect escape from a lab filled with test tubes and Bunsen burners. You might even call it a transformation, if you like! 😂 I'm living my best life, my dears! Don’t worry, you’ll get more science-tastic stories in future blogs. But right now, let’s just be silly and embrace the tutus, shall we?

Speaking of embracing, my new friend Daisy here in Spalding has taken me under her wing. Daisy is a sweet woman with the biggest heart in Spalding, and her daughter is practically a pink tutu prodigy! Oh, how I love sharing my passion for pink tutus with the younger generation.

Daisy has offered me a space for a pink tutu workshop for all the local youngsters, and you can be sure that I'm making the most of this amazing opportunity! We’re having so much fun! And to be honest, that’s what I love about my pink tutu mission – seeing those bright, sparkly eyes of children light up with a pink tutu. Their innocent wonder, their sheer joy—it warms my heart like a fresh, perfectly pink cake. 💖

Let me tell you, Spalding has a truly charming community spirit. The locals are warm, friendly, and have welcomed me with open arms! Oh, they've all been so supportive of my passion. That's how it should be, isn't it? Why can’t every town and village have this warm energy and excitement?!

Spalding's been a perfect escape from the world of fabrics and test tubes. But who knows where my next stop will be? Could it be Edinburgh for a dazzling performance at the Fringe Festival? Or maybe a galloping tour around Devon on horseback? Who knows! I love a good challenge. But I’ll give you a hint… there are definitely tutus in my future! Don't forget to keep an eye on my website, www.pink-tutu.com, for all my latest adventures. I can’t wait to share more pink tutu magic with you!

Until next time, remember: you don’t have to be a queen to wear a pink tutu. Go on! Unleash the pink, my dears. Embrace the sparkly! 💖

Stay sparkling, Your Tutu Queen, Pink Tutu Sparkles 💋
