This time, I'm taking my frills and sequins to the glorious town of Bilston, a real hidden gem in the heart of the Midlands. Can you believe it's been 15 years since my first performance here? Time really does fly when you're living your best life! 💅

Bilston holds a special place in my heart. It was back in the good ol' days of 2007, a time of MySpace and oversized glasses, that I sashayed onto the stage for the first time. The venue? A rather splendid little theatre, and let me tell you, it was pure magic! My signature pink tutu twirled, my pink lipstick gleamed under the spotlight, and the crowd went wild. From that day forward, I knew I was destined for a life filled with glitter, fabulousness, and yes, you guessed it, tutus! 🩰

But before I get too carried away with my reminiscing, let's get down to the nitty-gritty. As you know, darlings, a girl's gotta keep busy! This trip is all about bringing the sparkle to the masses, so expect a performance at a fair, a few private shows for some lucky locals, and even a very hush-hush pop-up at a hidden gem café (keep your eyes peeled for clues on my Instagram!). And don't even get me started on the shopping – you know I can't resist a trip to a vintage clothing shop or two! 🛍️

Now, you know me and my penchant for a glamorous journey, right? This time, I'm travelling by train. Honestly, what could be more stylish? Picture it: me, nestled in my corner booth, a steaming mug of Earl Grey in hand, gazing at the countryside rolling by... the epitome of chic! But before I whisk myself away, I wanted to give you a little behind-the-scenes glimpse into the world of Pink Tutu Sparkles. 😉

Most of you know my alter-ego is the incredibly mundane Alex, a humble scientist who spends her days analyzing the properties of fabric. It's not quite as sparkly as being on stage, but it's important, especially for a girl who wears so many fabulous fabrics! And you wouldn't believe what an interesting life a fabric scientist can lead. Did you know that we even get to play around with sequins and rhinestones? Not to mention the endless research into colours... and believe me, pink is ALWAYS the focus of my investigations. 🔬

But my story doesn't just start and end with fabric testing! Like most amazing transformations, mine started in university, while studying for my science degree. The whole thing began with a charity event organised by the university ballet club. They were holding a fundraising auction, and my dear friend, bless her soul, talked me into trying on a tutu for a laugh. You can imagine my reaction when I twirled, felt the fabric float around me, and felt a wave of pure, unadulterated joy wash over me!

That, darlings, is when Pink Tutu Sparkles was born! It's been a journey of discovery and self-expression ever since. But even though I spend my nights on stage, dazzling the audience with my elaborate dance routines, my love for ballet never faded. I'm a regular at the ballet class (a tutu is a must, of course!) and a fanatic for watching professional performances. Every graceful move, every pirouette, and every beautifully crafted costume makes my heart skip a beat. There's truly no greater feeling than the power and elegance of ballet, and let's face it, it provides me with ample inspiration for my own moves!
