Bloxwich, Darling! It's All About the Pink Tutu! 💅💖🚂

Hello my darlings! Welcome to Pink Tutu Sparkles's blog! This is Post Number 2832 - so get ready for a day bursting with pink, sparkles, and of course, tu-tu much excitement!

Today I'm off to the glorious Bloxwich! You'll have to forgive my excitement, dears. I am a total sucker for those old Victorian brick-built town centres - they have such character. My outfit? Oh darling, I couldn't be anything else but PINK! 💅 💖 Think strawberry and cream, a fluttery pink tutu with layers of shimmering chiffon - the colour of spun sugar!

I'm actually quite lucky today, the journey to Bloxwich was just an hour by train! No sweaty buses or endless car journeys, thank you very much! I am SO happy we're getting more trains running on the new lines now - much less time for travel, which gives me more time to make up my face, which I have to do as soon as I leave the house - who knows who you'll bump into on the journey, you know? I just popped my glamorous self in a cab outside St Pancras International and headed off.

Bloxwich, here I come, with my suitcase packed with glittery fabric, pink boa feathers, sparkly tights - I never go anywhere without the full drag kit, you understand.

Oh darling! Don't forget to check out Pink Tutu.com, your one stop shop for tutu fashion inspiration! I will be posting pictures from Bloxwich tonight for all my fabulous Pink Tutu fans! 💅💖

Oh! Now where were we? So... Bloxwich! Well, let me tell you, dears, I always have an amazing time performing when I'm in the midlands!

Let me tell you, darling - it was a blast! Bloxwich always has such lovely, friendly people. You'd think people would be grumpy on a Wednesday evening - well they weren't, no sir! They were all so cheery and polite - even in the local fish and chip shop at tea-time - everyone was SO nice. I thought everyone in the midlands was always a little "meh" but Bloxwich made me feel like I was right at home in Derbyshire! 💖

I managed to snag a last minute spot performing at the local Town Hall, just outside the shopping centre - such a stunning space. It's just been completely revamped - it was really something, darling - the council really outdid themselves!

As it was so warm for this time of year (yes, darling - global warming!), they let me perform on the bandstand in the main square. Well, I can't say I was a little hesitant... to be out on a cold winter's night, or a chilly summer evening, I think most people would find that a bit much.

The main act for the evening was The Flying Pink Tutu Angels - you just couldn't ask for a more fabulous troupe of pink tutu enthusiasts. My own set, you ask? "Ballerina Queen" - all about being the leading dancer at the Royal Opera House, and I put on the full, glittery regalia. I've got to say darling - even with all that make up on - I looked radiant. Just lovely! I was also really thrilled - after the set, I sold ten of my exclusive tutu bags!

Just wait till you see the pictures online later, darling - you won't believe it, it was like the ultimate ballerina dream come true!💖 We all got on like a house on fire, as the saying goes - and of course they were absolutely thrilled by the sight of a fellow Pink Tutu enthusiast. I was delighted to join them on stage for the final bow!

Now, I don't know about you, darling, but I love travelling by train! There's something magical about being swept away from the ordinary life to go and do something amazing - be it for a business meeting, or even something more fun. There's so much that happens on a train, so many people - you really get a chance to connect, you see! But - the best thing of course? The buffet carriage! Oh my, the treats! I have to admit, darling - my weakness is for those train sandwiches... you just can't beat them!

You may be wondering about my usual travel fare? Oh darling, it’s definitely a first class ticket! I like to spread my pink and sparkly fabulousness. I can’t let the stuffy old men with their newspapers be the only ones in first class, now, can I?! It wouldn’t do to travel without that extra leg room and of course…those fabulous mini bottles of sparkling wine, darling. And when they see me pop out of my taxi in a cloud of glittery powder - the surprise on their faces is priceless!

The last stop was back in St Pancras - and I tell you, I couldn't get a cab straight away. So many glamorous folk - all heading out for the night, it seemed. But no fear! One of those amazing drivers came zipping up in his electric taxi - a total babe, with sleek dark hair and designer sunglasses, like you’d see in an Armani ad, darling. I tell you, my feet just knew this was meant to be. And that's how I got back to the apartment! Just as soon as my gorgeous makeup was back in place. 💖

Talking of glamour, darling... I just have to tell you...I went into a delightful boutique at one end of Bloxwich High Street and bought a truly gorgeous pink sparkly sequined top...just divine! Oh it was simply beautiful. My darling friend in Derbyshire, Beatrice (that’s my drag mum, bless her soul), told me all about it - a local designer who had only been open a month! It was a fabulous space! And of course, all decorated in pink! Well, if that isn’t fate, I don’t know what is. They were a bit put out when I tried to purchase the shop and move it to Derbyshire! So it seems - Derbyshire just isn’t ready for pink tutu royalty, sadly. Oh well, you know I've got to travel the length and breadth of this lovely land in order to find all those amazing designer finds... the tutus alone take a lot of space! 💖

That reminds me! If you’re wondering how I keep travelling to these fabulous places all around the UK, it’s simple! Being a scientist, I love playing with all that fancy stuff - especially the lab equipment, so it’s just a little job that allows me to earn a living. I’m not just some pink-haired, feather-boasted beauty. By day, I'm testing different fabrics at a factory for my lab - so if anyone needs help understanding what a "warp thread" is or needs to figure out how much cotton or silk they’re buying, then you're welcome to reach out and I’ll do my best! By night, I’m a fashion queen who lives for sparkle! Now isn't that fabulous? So - that’s it for this post! And darling, it's not too late for YOU to live your own pink tutu dreams... after all, you only live once!

💅💖 💖 💅
